Hello! I have decided to make a little upgrade and after a few hours of research I reached at the conclusion that the Sapphire Radeon Tri-X OC R9 280x is the best for me. I just placed the order and after did a little more research and found out about this artifacts problem which, I think it's very annoying so, the question: Is this a problem that all these gpus have or it depends on your luck? It's very important for me to know because if all of them have this problem I still have time to cancel the order. Thanks for help!

Well, I got the 280x Tri-X OC, but I didn't have to much time to play... I've played this weekend Alien Isolation for for 4-5 hours straight and the temperature didn't got over 65°C. I've also played for half an hour BF4, I've seen some very small artifacts but I can't remember if I also had them on the older gpu (GTX460). All in all the gpu untill now it's ok, also got in the package the AMD Golden Reward but I didn't use it as I have 30 days to return it and get my money back in case I might have problems with it but I hope I don't, I love it. Well now I have to fix an older problem with my sound card (Sound Blaster X-Fi) and with surround sound but I created another topic, hope someone will help me find a solution. Thanks for help with this one!

The 280x is an overclocked version of an already overclocked card (7970 Ghz edition)
The Tri-X oC R9 280x is an overclocked version of 280x thats already an overclocked version of 7970 Ghz thats overclocked...
So basically with all that overclocking the binning of the chips must be flawless. Since thats not always the case, a lot of users are reporting artifacts with these cards however most of them are a result of AMD drivers rather than pushing the chip too far.
I wouldn;t bother with the 280x tri-x to be honest. Get the 285 or 290 that are based on newer architecture and not of older overclocked chips.
