Can you have 2 independent RAID 0 arrays?
Hi all!

The questions basically in the title, is it possible to have 2 independent RAID 0 arrays within the same system? I.e. If I had 4 HDD's, could I have 2 in RAID 0 (Say as drive C) and the other 2 in RAID 0 (Say as drive D)?

I'm going to be upgrading my drives soon as want to RAID 0 them, however I have 2 sets of drives, one set for data and another for games, and my OCD means I want to keep the two separate. =P

Thanks for both your replies! Much appreciated! =D

I'll take a look into RAID controllers, I had thought about them before but was wondering if it could be done without one. I'll scout around and see what I can find out. =)

Well theoretically you can but its not recommended using more than 2 drives in raid0 on the motherboard;s raid controller. When using more than 2 drives its best to use a dedicated controller. So with that in mind you can use 2 drives in r0 on the motherboard and another 2 on a cheapo raid controller.
