Computer shutsdown when starting New LOTR game (gpu/psu problem?)
Hi i have a custom build computer with

i7 3770k
16g ddr 3 ram
amd r9 295x2
750 watt power supply

My monitor is the new asus 4k pb27q monitor or w/e you call it. Every time start this LOTR game my computer instantly shuts down as soon as i get right past the intro credits. I have been reading up alot of things and i would like to assume its not due to my power supply since i have a 750w psu for the amd r9 295x2 which requires atleast 500w. Is there a possibility that the computer is shutting down due to a lack of power available (somehow) ? or is there another possibility.

p.s. running everything in 4k currently. does that consume alot more power?

I just realized that its possibly due to the fact that i need "each 8-pin connector needing to provide 28A of +12V current." and i think each pin only delivers up to 20a on this psu despite it being 750w. Can anyone help me find a 28a of +12v current?

this is my psu : http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-NEX750B-Certified-...

i attempted to run furmark, however upon starting it the computer immediately shuts down. Im assuming this means its a psu problem? I have a evga 750 watt power supply and i rechecked the connections to my gpu and it seems as if it is correctly connected. I put both 6+2pin (total 8) power connecters into the gpu and did not have this issue with my previous 780ti unless i was running Arma 3 or something , which was gpu intensive game.

If your power supply is multiple rails, It might not be getting enough power to run the card on the rail that the card pulls the power from.

I would also download "Furmark" and run it to see if the card is overheating somehow to check temperatures. Run it for 20 minutes and then we can analyze the results from there.

Is your powers supply a single rail or multiple rail power supply?
