Installing AMD Catalyst lowers resolution
I just built a computer yesterday and whenever I try to install AMD Catalyst my resolution drops and the screen becomes smaller.. How do I fix/stop this? Thanks.

When you say the screen "becomes smaller" what do you mean?

does the desk top not completely fill the screen?

Or are all the icons and buttons smaller ?

If you have an LG monitor that is 22" or higher built in the last 2 years - it should work at 1920 X 1080 max. There should be a setting that shows "native resolution" for your monitor. Try that setting.

By default, the screen resolution is set low when you install the drivers - you need to go into the Catalyst Control Panel and adjust them to your monitor.

So do I just keep trying different settings until one works?

HDMI , DVI ?

It's an LG screem, not 100% sure of the model at the moment because I'm at school. I connected it through HDMI. But, before I installed the AMD Catalyst the screen was working perfectly fine so I don't think it's a problem with that.
