Budget GPU for Borderlands Pre-Sequel
I just realized that my GT 620 that I'm running is only DDR3 which means upgrading my power supply probably won't help me much...

What is the best graphics card i can get to play at decently high graphics on borderlands,

max graphics with 60fps on league of legends,

and misc. other games (skyrim, wow, diablo)

I am on a budget but want something that will last.
i will most likely run it with this GPU: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Builder-Series-EPS-80-cer...

My current pc: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

you dont need to upgrade your psu with the 970. It has a tdp of 145 or lower, I believe. Trust me, you will not be disappointed with your purchase.

Actually no. It has a higher TDP of 165 for a reference non-overclocked GTX 970. For the other non reference GTX 970 like Gigabyte, MSI or ASUS, they take in more power of around 170-180W. Overclocking it will push it further near to 200 Watts.
The "reduced" power consumption is way too overhyped.

To the OP, you will still need a better quality power supply.
or simply get a GTX 750Ti.

I see that the computer only has 300W of power.

How much budget do you have in upgrading your computer?

They put a powerful CPU with a very weak GPU. Just sad. Just very sad.

i probably want to spend 300 max for both gpu and psu

get a gtx 970, its only 350 and uses very very low power for its class and will future proof your system for many years, seeing as you do not seem the type to upgrade to the latest and greatest every 6 months...it might be a little bit more than u planned on spending, but the upgradee will be well worth it for all your gaming needs. if you keep buying lowest end cards, ur gonna be spending $150-200 a year anyway since they will get outdated really fast, the 970 will last you for quite a long time and has massive overclocking potential to get you up to gtx 980 performance, if youre in the mood to learn a bit about overclocking...its quite simple with modern tools like afterburner, just move a couple sliders to the right and hit apply
