Is there no hope for my gtx 690
I guess I didn't have standoffs or something because i heard a little spark and now whenever the gpu is in the motherboard and i power it on the fan spins for a split second and nothing else. With my other gtx 650 it does work though. I think it got shorted or something.

It sounds like its been shorted.

You could take it to an electrical engineer, as it may just be a mosfet or capacitor that needs replacing, but dont hold your breath...

If there were any standoffs it wouldnt touch the case. But if it did and it was shorted and the card doesnt work now, its most likely dead.

I took out the motherboard and put it back but it looks like I forgot to pun in 2 of the standoffs so it was touching the case and then i put the other stuff in like the gpu. When I powered it, the power supply light changed and it no longer gave power so that meant that it was shorted. When I put back the standoffs the card won't let the computer turn on. when the gtx 650 is installed though, it does turn on. Also the gtx 690 might have touched something that was connected to the case so the short might have traveled there or something.
