Help! I am going to buy the dell ultrasharp tomorrow when the sale ends at 8am. Which model is the best one for school and gaming?

You think that's a good choice for gaming too? I also am thinking about getting the SSD 840 or 850. Is it worth it to get the 850?

High School work doesnt need a good monitor since its at most a bit of amateur photoshop or video editing, and gaming doesn't really matter since their all 60hz IPS panels and will perform the same.

This is a case where your money directly translates into the one you get. Their all good, get the one you can afford.

I have the 27" 2560 x 1440 and it is fantastic, plus I paid $750 for it so at $550 it's a steal imo...

I use mine with Adobe Master Collection CS6 and gaming along with 2 other monitors, an Acer 27" and a Samsung 24" (both of those are 1080p)

For school? and gaming?
I would aim for those 16:10 monitors like U2412M, etc.
No need to go 1440p unless you have a powerful hardware to support such gaming resolution.

You need to give a budget. The best, of course, is the 32inch 3840 x 2160 monitor for $1,500+.

A good compromise is the 27 inch 2560 x 1440 monitor for $550+.

Otherwise a 24 inch 1920 x 1080 for $125.
