SSD no longer recognised by PC after manually shutting down PC.
Hi guys,

So last night I was playing a video game when suddenly the game crashes. CTRL ALT DEL didn't work so I manually shut down the PC. The next morning I wake up, boot my PC and it goes straight to BIOS. Turns out it doesn't recognise my Crucial M4 SSD anymore as it's not shown in the boot priority/ menu list and I've tried using the cables connected to my HDD (which is recognised) on my SSD with no success. Does this mean it's fried? Dead? No way to recover what was on it!? After only 15 months of use..

Thanks

EDIT: How ironic, the box has "Performance you can trust" written on it.

You may try this SSD on other PC to see if it works there. Also you may try using the other SATA port.
