Chossing between nVidia Control Panel and in game settings?
So I just bought a new pc for gaming and work, (posted a ton of questions and read a lot of threads here for choosing the right components). An MSI GTX 970 and 4790K along with Vengeance 8GB (2133mhz). So the thing is, I can't don't know if I should adjust settings from the NVidia control panel or the game it self.

The only game I tried so far is Crysis 3 (cuz I wanted to test my pc's capability).... I tried many different things.... like setting the game setting to maximum and keeping the NVidia settings low, and the other way around as well.... but I think the game settings were the ones actually affecting stuff (not really sure though)? like, I kept the anti aliasing off in NVidia settings, but turning them on in the game itself resulted in the game actually having aa working. really confused what to do.

So what am I supposed to do? Keep the in game setting to the lowest and only use NVidia settings? or is there a way completely lower NVidia settings (cuz there were a few settings I just couldn't turn off??) and use the in game settings only? are there some settings only available in NVidia settings that I need to use and shut every thing else? help needed.

I'd just forget about panels for now and tell GFE to make the settings.

so if I turn a setting on the control panel, and then turn it off in the game, is the game gonna override the control panel setting and turn it off for real?

Let GeForce Experience set all your game settings as a starting point. If you experience problems in any particular game, you can relax the settings a notch
