I just bought DDr2 2gb ram 800mhz... and when i insert the ram in my computer, my system becomes very slow.. i already have a ddr2 2gb ram and my system has intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU, E6550 @2.33Ghz.. Windows XP, Version 2002, service pack 3. so my question is Is DDr2 800Mhz is the proper one or what kind of ram should i buy?

Oh oke... thank you... So what i bought today, is it a waste???
I dont know what to do... no its not a waste .. you said the old one was 667mhz and the new ones you bought was 800mhz so best bet is to remove the 667mhz from the computer and install the new 800 mhz rams and you should get a bit of performance boost over the old stick so i wouldnt call it a waste .. i would however advise you to save towards a ddr or ddr4 setup and dont invest anymore in that build because ddr2 is 2 gens old now ..go for ddr3 for a lovely experience

The old one says as DDR2 667.. and the new one says DDR2 800u..ohhh .. i see .. the ram sticks are moving at different speeds so the faster one was forced to slow down to speed of the slower one and hence creating problem .. here are some rules when installing\buying ram
1.dont mix manufacturers
2.make sure they have the same latencies
3 make sure ther are the same fsb speed
4.make sure they use the same voltage..
when you mix two rams it sometimes cause alot of problems like this one you are having...
