Looking to upgrade PC
I'm looking to upgrade my current build with a new GPU, but I am not sure if I will need to upgrade any other parts before this is possible. Here is my current spec:
Motherboard - ASUS P8H67-V
CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz
RAM - 16GB
GPU - AMD Radeon R9 270
Power Supply - 600W
OS - Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
I am going to be buying a new Power Supply anyway, so that won't be an issue, but would I be able to get a 770/780 with this current build?

Well yes that game takes a internet connection but it's still not multiplayer with other real people. Their a difference on how it taxes your PC.

If he has "players" NPC or not, they are there and they are taking up space on the map, also he is on a BIG map(look at all that) and runs just fine. He is fine. I also added in benchmarks and another Multiplayer mode with a 770(he is looking into getting that).

I would get the GTX 970 and overclock your processor some the i5 2500K is still a beast of a processor.
Depending on the make and model of your power supply a new one might not be needed.

So the rest of my PC is strong enough to deal with a new graphics card?

This is with a non K 2500 paired with a ASUS R9 270 on High Settings 2xMSAA on Multiplayer.

It seems you do not need to OC since his is a non K and can handle the game just fine :)

OC'd is preferred down the line, also I suggest you get a Aftermarket cooler to OC.

Also if you were to get a Nvidia Card, you are going to have to uninstall all your AMD drivers before using the GTX card.

So I should not bother changing my GPU?

No, its perfectly fine for right now :)

also a thing about your PSU

Tier five - Replace immediately. These units are NOT recommended for any system, no matter the purpose. Reference to higher tiered models for a better and potentially money-saving unit

Artic / Ace (They're the same company)

if that is the manufacturer of your PSU I suggest you opt out and get a new one.

Okay thanks for the help, I'll get a new PSU soon, as I've had this one for about 3 years now. If I was to buy a 770/780 in the future, do you agree my PC be able to support it?

Here you go! :)  If you are going to do the switch be sure to uninstall all your AMD drivers first :)

Good luck gaming!

BF4 multi-player with your CPU and 770.

If your looking for better gaming performance yes. If you were satisified with the performance of the old card why post.
The only time you need to overclock the processor is when you get CPU bound in games.
