Audio jack damages headphones?
Hello! I'm not really sure this is the place to ask this so let me know if it isn't..
i've had my PC for around a year now and I noticed that every pair of headphones I plug into it, seems to stops working after a while..
It's sound breaks, then one side doesn't work.. when I play with the plug and put pressure on it in some directions it works fine but I can't just hold it everytime I want to listen to something..
now it happened with every headphones I had, multiple brands prices and models.. the headphonese that are damaged do not work on other devices, new headphones work fine with the PC so I figured out that the audio jack might be damaging the headphones..
is that possible? if so and that is the problem, how can I fix this?
thank you! :)

Hi
Any damage to the plug from the socket would be obvious on inspection.
It is more likely that it is internal damage to the cable where it enters the plug that is causing the problems.
Is the cable being pulled or does it enter the plug at a tight angle ?
Probably the best way to fix this would be to get a short extension cable so you are plugging your headphones into this instead of directly into the PC and this is a lot cheaper to replace.

it doesn't enter at a tight angle and it get's pulled out of the socket only on rare occasions...
I'll try to find an extension and see how it works out.. Thanks :)
