It is compatible and would work, but the cx series uses cheap caps and has a high failure rate. This 550w XFX http://www.amazon.co.uk/XFX-ATX-550-Power-Supply/dp/B00... is cheaper and a much higher quality unit and will power your system just fine.

+1; XFX and Seasonic are both great power supply manufacturers.

huh?? there no such thing. the only compatibility you will need is how much power you need and if the motherboard connection is an ATX one. that's it... hell you could even buy a generic one. and as @bignastyid said there are adaptor to what you need/

Is there no compatibility issue between the case size and psu size?

What issues?
Yes, so far as I know, they are compatible.

What is your current psu?
If it is 600w and you are only missing a 8 pin connector, there are adapters for that.

Corsair CX is only a fair tier 3 psu on this list:

If you can, look for a higher quality unit.
Seasonic, XFX, antec for example.

Does the PSU you linked come with all the same connectors such as 8pin and 6pin like CX Series?
