MSI GTX 970 0db fan problems
i think the 0bd fan solution is not working very well for MSI
im playing assassins creed 3 with my 970
and there is a time....... approximately 10 secs
when i experience extreme lag
the fps drop to as low as 40-45 from a good 80-90
i guessing this happens because when the GPU reaches the threshold temp of when the fans are supposed to turn on
the GPU takes a while to realize that it is supposed to turn on the fans
or the fans come on on time but it takes them a few seconds to cool the GPU back down
this is the second game im playing with my new GPU
the first was COD ghosts
this dint happen with the ghosts
probably because it is a graphically intensive game
and the fans are running already

wonder if its happened with anybody else

just use MSI Afterburner and rise the fan speed then.

It doesn't happen with mine, at least not from what I've seen. It doesn't sound like a fan issue at all, unless the temps are at throttling point.

If it is still happening, just set a custom fan profile in MSI Afterburner.

What are your system specs?

Doesn't sound like a hardware or fan problem. Use GPU-Z or MSI Afterburner overlay to monitor temps. If they are getting too high, use a custom fan profile.
