FX 6300 idle temp.
Hey guys,

So yesterday I assembled my new pc and I'm worried about the cpu. It's running idle at 50 degrees Celsius -stock cooler. is that normal? if not, what should I do to fix that? oh and the fan is loud as a jet engine! I could use a solution for that?

My configuration is:

cpu: FX 6300 Base cloak
motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0
GPU: Asus R9 270X DcU2 2GB
PSU :Corsair cx500M

I looked around the forum and most of the community says that it's not okay for the CPU to go above 65C... i was playing and the temp vent over 65, and after i quit the game it went back to 47 degres C in about 4 minutes.

That's a very good temperature at stock clock. If you overclocked it with the stock cooler it will go up to 90C*, guranteed. Which is pretty bad if you want a longlife span on it. I'd recommend you get a new cooler, preferably a hyper 212 evo which is pretty inexpensive, and not only that, if your MOBO is good you can even overclock it for better performance! It's a win win!

I've played Smite, Heroes Of The Storm and League Of Legends, all at ultra and the temperature was at 62-63 top. so Is that okay or? What do you suggest about the loudness of the stock cooler?
