Intel Motherboard for Crossfire
Hello Guys!

I'm about to build a new gaming config but I really don't know which motherboard to go for.

I will use two GPUs which I already have: 2x R9 280X Sapphire Toxic

Im planning to buy intel i5 4690k processor.

So far im sure i want to have Z97 chipset and mostly my favorite brands for motherboards are Asus and Gigabyte. The price range i would be comfortable with is 150$-250$ but as I have seen most of the motherboards only have one x16 slot and if you run 2 cards in crossfire it runs in x8 x8 mode.
I could barely find some motherboards with double x16 slots if you are running crossfire.

What motherboard would you suggest for this config?

Whats is the performance difference between running these two cards in x8 + x8 mode instead of x16 + 16?

This list is all ASRock (my preferred motherboards) that are Crossfire-capable. Choose on in your price range or adjust the criteria to select from another manufacturer.

You will hardly notice the difference in running between x8 + x8 mode instead of x16 + 16 since 8 lanes are sufficient for current GPUs.
