motherboard gpu bottleneck
I recently bought a new pc, and i got the FX-6300, Asus M5A97 LE r2.0 mobo and a Asus R9 280. However i later learned thath the M5A97 only has pci-e 2.0. Will the 280 even be able to run? And if so, will there be any performamce issues?

Agreed that PCIe version 2 will not cause a bottleneck with that card.

Surprisingly even a Titan (for gaming at least) wasn't a bottleneck on a test system with a good i7 and a PCIe v3 lane set to version 2 to test specifically for this issue.

Runs fine and there will be no performance issue. AM3+ does not support PCIe ver 3.0 only one board made with that feature with an extra chip long gone out of retail.
