You guys are the best game reviewers I know, and the only ones to write unbiased reviews.

I will miss Second Take badly.

Guys, please tell us where you go, if you continue to publish articles in the Net, I will read whatever you guys write.

I learnt to trust you. It's sad how today all game review sites gives 8's and 10's to crappy sponsored games..... You guys were to me the only source for reliable, unbiased information..... Oh, and the show was fun, too!

I already removed Tom's from my bookmarks. EVERYTHING. Tom's Games, Hardware, etc. For now on, I will read my hardware reviews on Anandtech.

I wish the best of luck for you guys, you deserve a better place to work.

Wow, I had to read that twice to make sure my eyes weren't lying. Another "success" for MBA corporate governance, no doubt. I mean, they already gave us the financial crises, you'd think that was enough for one year....

Loved the reviews, and will especially miss Second Take. I hope you guys can continue it in another incarnation somewhere. Second Take was great at exposing me to games that I wouldn't read reviews about or bother with normally. Damn, I can't think out of the box anymore!

This is terrible news next we will be told about how hardware reviews will simply be company press releases as a way to remove reviewer potential bias from an article.

Very disheartening to see intelligence replaced by idiocy. What sort of brain dead morons play Flash games anyway? Not the same people who know and love and BUY games. I'm feeling sad and baffled at the same time by this stupid decision. I keep hoping it's some kind of joke. I mean Flash games? Really? wtfe

I'm not the kind of person to leave zillions of comments everywhere... but this time I really have to.

I am very disappointed about the decision of taking Tom's Games down (or as they call it: changing the "direction" of the site). I really appreciated the site and was always eagerly looking forward to the next "Second Take".

Ben, Rob, Travis... I think you were doing a great job and I always appreciated it. I wish you all the best.

I am so stunned by this announcement, the stupid thing is, like many people here, it will mean I will stop coming to Tom's hardware at all anymore, the gaming site was the main attraction, but I would just hit tomshardware.com first, read some of the stuff then jump over to games, whereas I just took TH out of my bookmarks and won't be back to any of their sites now.
*sigh*
Thanks for the commitment to quality over the years guys, I enjoyed the reviews by mature gamers who cared about games, the industry and (as a programmer myself) piracy. You will be missed, I looked forward to second take..

I may not agree with your reviews but I have found them to be the most helpful out of all the sites I visit.
I mainly come here for both of your reviews and hit techreport.com right after. I will miss that morning ritual.

Fro the most part, only time I ever went to the Games section on Tom's was for Second Take or the reviews (and sometimes to see game news blurbs). The new site sounds truly awful and boring, as I have no interest in flash games. Terrible decision.

Aww crap, aint that a kick in the ass! Flash games? Are you serious? Gonna miss you guys! Kinda skews the whole "legit" thing Toms had going. Thats messed up.

I thought content had been nuked in general on the rest of the site already.. Toms has been pretty lame and always behind on charts and things anyway as of late.

It was one of my start page tabs, but no more.

I already have a flash games portal running myself that even *I* don't visit.

As much as this situation sucks, this is really good news (a shred of light if you will). I hope that this works out.

I'll shal take my leave but not before you answer me, these questions three...

Actually, screw it...there was a long rant here but it's not worth it and I'd rather let these three gentlemen (well two gentlemen and one console noob...yuk-yuk) move on in relative peace and with a positive vibe, of which I'll try to encourage by saying this:

I've been frequenting Tom's Hardware since the days of the Athlon T'Bird and its infamous "pencil trick" (at least Rob and Trav might appreciate that one...Ben, that makes it right around the release of the PS2).

ST and the reviews were the ONLY reason I was still around and ST even made me come back to the forums after being gone for so long that I had forgotten my old name and password (ie. YEARS).

Anywho, I'll leave (Tom's that is...you'll see me on GMail gents) by saying that I was another of those who watched ST, coffee (or beer...depends on if it was after work on Friday or Saturday morning) in hand. You're all around my age and you know that the 'Net's been bandied about as 'the 21st century newspaper' for years and years now and I think that, finally, that's beginning to be a fair assesment.

Having said that, I think you should take great satisfaction and be spurred on to bigger and even better things knowing that for some, perhaps many, you were our Sunday morning paper...and that speaks volumes.

Rob, Travis, Ben, sorry to see you go I enjoyed secondtake and your reviews. I’ve learn over the years that sometimes a change in your life is not necessarily a bad thing but sometimes the best thing that could happen to you. I’m sure this is going to be a good change for you all because you guy’s are very talented and will have no problem coming up with a gig. Best of luck to you all.

How could a site go from being the top of my favourites list to being the worst site I have visited in living memory? I .... didn't feel this violated the first time I got Goatse'd.

I've been reading Tom's Hardware for years to keep up with the latest in hardware and honest reviews. This move and the lack of good reviews on the Hardware side have turned me off, and I as others here will be deleting my bookmark. And I mean my Tom's Hardware bookmark. Tom's was about integrity. Best of Media is not. There are lots of other sites that can give what I need.

Thank you Ben and Rob for making my day with each episode of Second Take. I waited patiently for each one and was saddened to find out why this week's never showed. I will be looking for you in some sort of reincarnation. Keep up the great work. People will watch, and whoever takes you up (and their advertisers) will appreciate that.

Ah, and such is the fate of all unbiased game journalists. Sadly, quality doesn't really mean much to most gamers anymore.

It's sad to see you fellows go. Your write-ups and videos have become the only gaming stuff that I read anymore; most others simply are not worth much.

I thank you guys so much for the quality effort that was "Second Take." I rarely ever watch video reviews of any kind, but I always looked forward to the next one.
