Nice. You must resort to insults now since you realize i am right! Join the newegg boycott!
No, you just don't get it. I can't stand liars. I have an idea:
Let's boycott your "community college" for employing "professors" that have your understanding of economics! (Not to mention your terrible English skills)
Nice. You must resort to insults now since you realize i am right! Join the newegg boycott!
It has nothing to do with being right or wrong, and everything to do with you taking an active stance against an ONLINE RETAILER. I mean really, do you not have a life? Surely someone who invests this much time and energy into something so trivial lives a life void of social interaction. Why don't you take a stand against crunchy peanut butter or boycott sweaters while your at it? You act like you're perpetuating some "noble cause" by telling people not to buy from an online store. Like there's some sort of "NewEgg oppression" going on and you're here to save the masses. Get over yourself. Boycotting an online retailer, and then posting about your insignificant boycott and continuing to argue with boards members about how your idiocy is justified is why this thread is moronic and juvenile.

I don't have a life? I have something in the neighborhood of 15 posts. You have 800 posts! You're saying this thread is moronic and juvenile but you have read it and continue to read and post on it -doesn't that make you moronic and juvenile. You people have lost it. Trying to insult my grammar... gimme break... this is a forum not a novel or even a formal letter. Did you ever think that I am using this forum as simple amusement while I'm at work at my college??
Anyway, you guys are incredibly blind... yes newegg they're a very fair vendor w/ their 45% mark up. gimme a break. my grammar/ lack of social interaction... get a grip.
Join the newegg boycott!
Can't this thread die already? It outlived its usefulness a long time ago.
Gary_Busey: Realize that this guy feels pretty strongly about his "boycott," and there's nothing we can say to stop him, so we might as well shut up.
ren0nie0: You're a little on the dense side if you haven't realized by now that nobody here supports your cause (Well, maybe one or two...out of a hundred+). Your "gospel" has fallen on deaf ears, and your time would likely be better spent somewhere else. I'm positive there's a forum that will hear you out; you just have to look, because this one isn't it.

That's because you joined 3 days ago. Oh yeah, you're not a math professor, my bad.
It's a sad thing to see someone lose their grip on reality.
Still you insist to further embarass yourself... well i'm glad you feel so passionate about this.
Yeah, I'm the one embarrassing myself. What's it like to have to pretend to be a professor on an internet message board to make yourself feel important?

I'm not trying to stop him. I don't give a fuck what he wastes his money on. I just enjoy making fake professors with poor spelling look like morons. Anything to keep me entertained until 5 o'clock rolls around.
One person does not a boycott make, and one(?) argument does not a tenable position in a debate make. As I said before, nobody's holding a gun to your head and forcing you to buy an E6600 from Newegg. Sure, there are sites that sell that CPU for less, but there are also numerous pieces of computer hardware that I've been watching in terms of upgrading that Newegg has the lowest prices of any site I looked on. In some of the cases, it was significant enough that the lower prices on the other hardware was a greater amount of money than the "savings" you would get from getting the C2D elsewhere, so, by boycotting them, your entire upgrade would end up costing you more money. Mazel tov.
We live in a consumerist culture... we have numerous options available to us in terms of consumer goods, and multiple places to get any particular good from. If you don't like a good, don't buy it (the fanboys already seem to have picked up on this bit of capitalism long ago). If you don't like a vendor, don't deal with them. But making a decision along those lines doesn't give you any more absolute authority in being "right" than you do when you vote. After all, even in a two-party system, nearly half of the people don't side with the side that ends up supposedly being "right".
(There we go, blending Civics and Economics into one post... my high school Government teacher would be so proud that I remembered his lessons nearly a decade later)
Wait, you honestly didn't think I supported your boycott, did you? I just observed that you aren't going to bend on this issue. Therefore, there was no point in arguing with a brick wall.
...says the fake professor who is currently boycotting an online retailer over a computer processor that he probably can't get his hands on anyways, let alone afford. You forgot your gay "Boycott NewEgg" banter at the end of your last post. Getting a little discouraged?

Exactly! I'm not holding a gun to anyones head forcing to join my illustrious NewEgg Boycott. I am simply urging them to.
Mex, I know you don't agree.
Busey, I am a professor.
I agree with you. I think if Newegg is so bad then the marketplace will untimately decide their fate.
There are sometimes when I find their prices higher than other places and I don't buy from them, but generally speaking their prices are very competitive and the service more than makes up for it IMO, so 95% of the time I buy from Newegg. I still look at other places for a sanity check, and if other people aren't doing that too, it's their own fault.
My internet browser allows me to visit a lot of different e-tailers, not just newegg, so everyone should use that feature and check for the better deals. In fact, just a few weeks ago I bought a raid controller from zipzoomfly because they had a better price with free shipping. It was enough of a difference that I decide to buy from them instead of Newegg. Maybe I should boycot!

I agree with you for the most part. NewEgg has shown their true colors with their devious c2d pricings! The marketplace will come around and realize what these rat douches are up to. In the meantime I say we expedite the whole process and Boycott NewEgg!
Fine! After 11,000 + views hopefully some of you understand and will discontinue purchasing anything from a villianous vendor such as newegg. Boycott the Bums! Cheers!
Boycott those lousy bums! An E6600 for 419 at first which was bad enough then they raised it to 459!!! A e6300 for 389???? Then they lowered it... but i call for a boycott.
saw this ages ago on hardocp. Based on what I saw, it looked like they had a low supply of chips and preferred to sell them with an MB. So, as I recall, the delta of a Conroe chip and a Conroe chip + Motherboard was very small on newegg.
In the end, I don't see why it matters. I buy on price/shipping cost and service. Newegg is good, but they're not the only kid on the block.
No boycott here. If they started screwing customers over, that'd be a reason to quit shopping there. The price of a few items is not.
