I'm just glad someone banned Aceaaron for good.
Wuzy is a Kiwi ... now it makes sense.
I nearly took a job over there a couple of years ago at Unitec - applied Tech and Trades.
Auckland looked very nice ... in fact the entire country is just magnificent.
Wifey didn't like the idea of moving as she saw the movie "Once were Warriors" and was a bit worried that the kids might get eaten or something.
I really wanted to go tho ... sigh.
I think she missed the entire point of the movie really ... dumb blonde.
You got something against blondes (or wives)?
What's up with the double postings today? There are like 10-15 threads/replies posted more than once. For example:

Wuzy, just read your GTL Ref guide. Nice work man! Now to optimize my OC on that Q9650 (with a X48-DQ6)....
W00t! 4 more days till SUMMER VACATION!!!!!!!

edit: Just noticed, WTF happened to my sig?????
Honestly, I'd probably have to read it over many times myself to get in touch with GTL tweaking again. Haven't touched the stuff in nearly a year ever since I worked out the particular values for my Q6600 then just stuck with them.
Apparently some Wolfdale users also found GTL tweaking can can lower vcore for clocks they'd like to settle on, using the same steps in my guide.
Originally I wrote it in anticipation of Q9550(or lower multi) with their limiting 8.5x(and under) multiplier, knowing if they want to break 3.6Ghz or reach Yorkfield's 'optimum freq.' which is just under 4Ghz they'd come flooding in to read the guide.
Not many people read it probably because they hardly know what GTL Reference does, let alone tweaking it which is like going through hell... *thinks back to those cruel hard days working non-stop*
And strangely most people I see around here seems to be satisfied with sub-3.6Ghz for a Yorkfield, which I find puzzling. 3.6Ghz+ work-stable Kentsfield (G0 & B3) is just everyday stuff for me. *shrugs*
No, I'm not going to help Yorkfield users in the Overclocking forum break 450-465FSB because it's time consuming and time is something I don't have a lot these days unfortunately. Even though I would like to help them. But if they asked me through PM I'd certainly be willing to help, the catch is they'd have to know what GTL is in the first place.
Now I find helping IT professionals to be a lot more interesting, mostly in Storage and Networking forum. Ever since I become a system admin I just find those people are so much easier to communicate with than your average enthusiasts/wannabees around the forum. All serious and business, no mucking around or linger around 'uncertainty' nor 'playfulness'. Just getting the work done and move onto another question.

I know what GTA is, does that count?
8700th post!
6900th post!
Me thinks me should get a cat when me gets 10k posts?
We can swap avatars for a week. See what happens

Why do people post threads with their usernames as the title, or email addresses for that matter? I would say they were spammers if they actually advertised something...
bah, I'm on a forum diet.
Your forum addicts ... fess up and move on.
2311'th futile and resistant post.
AMD to Intel is like sh!t on a blanket.
My posts generate more neural activity !!

Hah, I don't even need to do anything about my post count, whether I had my old account or not.
Not for another 3yrs(or so) anyway until you guys overtake my now immobile 32k.
Post count was fun while it lasted. So, that leaves Crashman as the only remaining 'active' relic account here. I never stood a chance against him anyway, lol. (I did overtook him once back in 2005 for a short period)

3 years? Man it's taken me 5 years to get to where I am now. Maybe in 15 years I'll reach 32k.
@Shadow: Let's do this mang.

EDIT: Wow, I didn't have to wait for my avatar to be validated. Normally it takes a day. I guess they got tired of checking and just allowed avatars straight away, or perhaps my permissions bypass that requirement.
Next week we should all use the same avatar.
Done! I too did not need a validation.
You know, for a moment there I DID got confused between you two!
This should be an interesting experiment...

Me too.
Cross dressing ftw!

So now I have to pretend I know something about WC and Shadow has to pretend he's a thread hijacker with too much time wasted on here.
8800th Post! (actually it's 8804, but who knows
)
Anyways, AFG, would you happen to know about any 3D design (not so much CAD, more like 3DSMax,etc) for a Mac? Reason for this is one of my friends is required to get a Mac for college (Yes, I know, highly unusual, that's really what she said, no pun intended). Btw, you'r one of the few people who I know use a Mac here. None of my friends use a Mac (lol) and most have high end custom gaming systems.

Not particularly helpful I know, but couldn't you suggest to your friend that any project created by said 3D design program for Mac is going to be incompatible with other program? Cuz 3ds Max and Maya is just so commonly used (much like me using Photoshop) it's kinda the industry standard.
A project created by a small user base proprietary software is just a no-no in my book.
There's only one software that I admit Mac does better on a technical level than PC and that's Final Cut Pro.

^Agreed. That's exactly what I said. I said to her to get a "cheap" Mac (laptop) and a good Desktop to run 3DS. I'm not sure why in the world they requite new students to have Macs.

Because the subject coordinators are fanboys.
Well... I'm a graphic artist, not a rendering artist.
Most pro Mac design programs are available for Windows with the exceptions of Final Cut which is made by Apple and Adobe Lightroom. Quite frankly, whatever a Mac can do, Windows can do better (except for iwork).
Even Photoshop CS4 on a Mac is severely handicapped (4GB RAM limit). Can't see a point to get a mac. Even Painter 11, in my opinion is better on Windows.
I thought about swapping avatars and honestly I thought it might be a bit creepy.
I agree.
Reynod with my avatar...
Anyone wanna swap with mine?
Warning: Your avatar will be used to bash n00b/wannabees.

You can't use my avatar, but you can use this:
Chickadee's old avatar!(Which I hold copyright for)
^That reminds me, what happened to here? Hven't seen here for a while.

IDK.
Yeah ... I miss MGF.
For a start she was feisty and arguementative ... I like that.
IDK - Internal derangement of the knee (the other meaning).
AFG made me an avatar once ... interestingly my son took it.
He is a model with Vivien's now.
Poor kid .... dumb as a brick ... heh heh.
AFG's avatar was just too pretty .... not me at all.
My mum still loves me tho ...

crayon n scanner ...
primary school teacher in training .... by the time you finish your degree you might be running virtual classes ... hologirl !!
Felt the need to have my old avatar back. You can keep using it if you want shadow
How about we ALL change to your avatar for a week?
By all means go ahead. It could be interesting.
edit: ^ You beat me to it.
^You should. I got like 4 PMs asking about WTH was going on.
It should be very interesting. May be I should use on of AFGs avatars linked above?
(I hate being sick. Any one else here hate it? I was sick for a few days and it's like hell, feeling better today)

I didn't get any PMs, but a comment or two in the forum. It's amazing how people recognise an avatar so much more than a username.
