Couple of guys in my office play it, and it they may as well be talking in Swahili when they gabber on about that bloody game. Fcuk that rubbish, any game that you have to pay a monthly fee to participate in and takes months just to build your character up is quite frankly, poncey in the extreme.

I'll stick to BF2 and COD4. Nowt wrong blowing the living piss out of everything in sight for no good reason.

Yes I know a couple people that play WOW and my eyes glaze over whenever the subject comes up. I prefer Oblivion. I have Bioshock but haven't installed it yet. Has anybody down here tried it?

But I would also add the Orange Box, especially Portal and TF2 to the mix. TF2, with the right people, is a riot.

If you liked Oblivion, and love the art-deco neuveu or whatever they call that post modern 1950's spy-thriller look, then the scenery is incredible (Ann Rand?).

The gameplay, for the first 3/4 is very nice as well. Almost impossible in the beginning, and infinite respawn kind of ruins it a bit (run up, hit a guy, die, spawn, run up and hit him again...)

Replayability? 0
No co-op, or multiplayer either. The plot would not support it.
Graphics were GREAT, spooky and gloomy. One of the best I have played in a while.

red orchestra is my staple game and the witcher for the last few weeks has been keeping me interested.

I'm still doing Forged Alliance, the Supreme Commander expansion.

That, and UT2K4.

I'll occasionally crack out a minigun in UT2K4 and go completely bananas in Mutant. Great way to relax.

More fun is that a few people still play it on LANs down here. That is, a few people still die by my hand on LANs down here.

Crysis multiplayer is just completely boring unless you've got about 60 or so people playing.

Still, one of my all-time favourites is (drum roll please while I change into a camo outfit) PAINTBALL!!!

I've just dug out UT2K4 again after being disappointed with UT3. Visually it's awesome, but it's not half as playable as UT2K4. When you want 30 minutes of complete and utter mindless violence, you can't whack Unreal.

It's like all the other FPS's, but it's not. The whole thing is faster, and the point of the game is to kill others. THAT'S THE TOURNAMENT, THAT'S THE GAME!

Sorry to hear about UT3, as that's one of the games we are supposed to play at the next LAN in a week and a half, although UT2K4 is always an option...

As long as you stick to straight up Deathmatch, you'll be fine with it. The vehicles in UT2K4 made the game just so much better, and it was fcuking brilliant to start with. Now, it's too messy. Maybe you just need time to get into it, but that's just not how UT is, is it? It's an instant thing with UT. Spawn, grab a weapon and KILL! That's the game, as you rightly said.

However, the Duel mode is quite tidy. Well worth a blast.

Cool. I'm rather fond of Last Man Standing myself...
