Actually, now that I think about it, it really doen't have much of an overall impact. Think about major Genres: Jazz, Country, Metal, "Classical", Blues. . . .
But looking at the top end of the spectrum and as such sales. Take away the sex that's sold on the top 10 list of any chart. How many so called singers can muster sales with brute singing prowess that they themselves are the creative owners of?

I'd say, for what its worth, 10/10. . some of these are better players or showmen than singers (you know who you are, Kenny), but, for the most part came by their success quite honestly.
