Those parts still have value to them but the real problem are those that are too outdated and have no value left and this goes for most electronic and entertainement equipement. Landfill isn't appropriate for this stuff but that's where a good portion of it goes.

I heard some poor guy's GPS malfunctioned and he ended up in RC's area. They burned him for witchcraft.
