Not BTX regarding the mobo placement. The PSU is on the bottom though, I'm used to having my PC on my right side at my desk so I chose to build it with the clear window more visible than the tinted window.
I wish I had the time to build a couple more. Summer could very well see a few builds that could net me some decent money.

Apparently their site is pretty out of date. Latest DVD I see is from 2004. You can look around it though, I fought in the summer of 04 and got in a little trouble because I wasn't 18. Had to take 90 days off with "no training" with an established team. Fight was in June or July, not sure which.

ok but i want too see your ugly mug k.o.ing someone.
more info please.
you are fighting on the 20th of this month?
we have some fights here in okla. on the same date.
but they are at some of the indian casino,s here in okla.
Good luck on the fight, hope you win by RNC. Oh by the way, do you go to sherdog?
Almost certain I'm fighting the 20th. Things happen sometimes, but I'm on the card for sure so hopefully someone steps forward to fight.
Our promoter is actually working with my Dad to start getting some fights at our local Treasure Island Casino in the town I live. Red Wing, MN.
Everett: I don't sherdog much, got sick of the stubborn people that were ignorant. I lurk to see what some of the well known guys think about upcoming UFC fights and stuff, that's about it. I only had a few posts but my name was tool_462/46&2/forty6_two or something like that.
everett knows about some of them idiot sherdoggers.
but anyway goodluck in your upcoming fight and let me know
about any info on it.
i would like too see it.
oh and hurry up and finish that wood case you promised me
Just take a pen and scrap of paper and write: "My wood case will be in the mail tomorrow!" on it and set it near your alarm clock so every morning you see the note and realize it's not coming until tomorrow.

Very nice job! My compliments to you and your grand!
Thanks! Taking more pictures as we speak
Just gotta run some 3dmark so my PSU fan actually turns on and lights up. Pretty cool that it doesn't even run in my room right now because it is so cool.

more pics woohoo 8) !
hurry, hurry,
lets see,em
Shitty camera. Not getting the look I want with the lights off due to zero options to manually change settings on the cheap digital cam. Gimme 10 minutes and I will have some up.
the pic had better be as perfect as the case you built
More pictures. Not the best quality, but the best I can do! I will leave them as links so you dial-up users don't become angry.

I emailed them anyway though!
Much thanks will be awarded to anyone who finds any case mod or case competitions that are currently accepting applicants. Post here or PM or email @ cdougherty01@Hamline.edu! Thanks!

You could have cleaned the carpet, and threw down some rose petal's for added eyecandy

i was going to say that those wires and that hiddeous paint on the wall
doesnt do it justice.
he should have had some hoochie mammas to go along
with it.
Dasickninja has the 3Dmark01
I vote you have the best custom build case
P.S. make this a sticky
| Quote : Dasickninja has the 3Dmark01 |
i think kingpin from extremesys. has the 3d mark 01 top score
of over 100000.
It is a nice case, with lots of time put into it I can tell.
However, I can't say I find wood, some black plastic, some chrome and then different color led's the best combination.
The thing I love though is that amazing side panel.
Nice job and keep up the good work.
I could agree. But I like it and that's what counts
About the dorm: carpet is not clean because 1) I don't care and neither does my roomy 2) Our community vacuum is a piece of crap and puts more dust on the floor than was there
3) Wiring is nicely done when the PC is under my desk, if I liked you guys that much I would have spent more time on the pictures.
Thanks for the Aussie case site, I submitted there.
Anyone know any other case mod competitions?
where did you get the drive mounting brackets from?
An old case. Cut the bottom one off so it would all fight tight.
It is seriously the most gorgeous case I've seen, and I think the functionality is great too. Synergy!
I have one question about your radiator. It doesn't look to me like there's a space beneath it, so if you have the fans blowing down through the rad, can the air easily escape? Or is there a cut-out in the bottom of the case?
5" x 11" hole in the bottom
Thanks.
Anyone find any case mod contests going on? Seems all the time I am finding a couple until right now when I have something to enter in the contests
Nice Pics Tool, I find these ones better than the first ones.
I'm still waiting on my case to get painted.....
Once it's finished I'll make a thread for it.
Yeah cool stuff, I will give you a thumbs up as well good job and nice follow through from the first thread!
I like the clean and simple line! For some reason the black DVD bugs me a bit but the on/off reset/led fits really nicely!
Anyway nice look/functionality/cooling!
I may remove the faceplate and paint it chrome like the buttons. I just wanted to get my rig back together because I was going back up to school and didn't want to be another few weeks without it so I skipped a few minor details.
Wow, that looks really cool, Makes me want to do that!
Anything but chrome. (might be just my opinion but I hate chrome)
| Quote : Anything but chrome. (might be just my opinion but I hate chrome) |
It looks okay on Harleys, and under the hood of Hot-Rod's.
I'll agree with you on that. Looks killer on harleys and only if the WHOLE engine of the hotrod is chromed then it would be ok in my books. It might be just me but that's the way I feel.
Hehe, it was the only thing I could point out no biggie ;-)
The final version looks pretty sweet man. I assume the wood case does a great job absorbing vibrations (and to some extent noise) from the HDs and whatnot.
Your rig looks (aside from the case of course) near identical to mine. Is that a vf700 on the video card
?

Just pray to god, that you don't have termites. Go away for a long-weekend, come back and there's all your hardware sitting in a pile of sawdust. :x
Lol termites are my new enemy.
Yeah it's a VF700, got it for like 9 bucks and am very satisfied. The case is near silent, only can hear the intake fan slightly because its running at 9v instead of the 5v the others are at.
I would paint the faceplate of the drive to match the power/reset button panels.
Nice updated pictures. Looks great. I think aresnic can help keep the termites at bay
Forty six and two are just ahead of me.
Actually I got a question for ya.
I have the same board (actually I have nearly the same rig as you, as I mentionned above). Fan is a Freezer 7 Pro at roughly 9-10V (75%), 2 120mm Yate Loon intake/exhaust fans, good wire management, everything tucked away nicely in a sonata 2.
I'm only running at 3.6Ghz nowadays, so my ram can be ran at 1:1, and all temps are fine except for the northbridge. Even when the system is idling, and the CPU is at around 35C, I can barely touch the northbridge heatsink/heatpipe. I seem to have decent airflow out of the case, and some of it is going through that rear copper heatpipe ending, which is meant to channel the heat away from the northbridge ... in fact the Freezer 7 blows directly at it, so I can't think of a (reasonable) better setup in my case. When I'm gaming/compiling/doing anything CPU-heavy, the northbridge REALLY gets hot.
Is it the same on your end? Did you get any active cooling for it?
Should I be worried or is this acceptable?
When I say hot, I mean burning hot.
Let me know.
Yeah, it's terribly hot. If I didn't plan on getting a DS3 or similar in the early spring I would get a JingTing or Extreme Spirit II for it.
Anyone who quote's my favorite song is cool in my book
