It installed on my 24" iMac. Was a bit of a complicated process getting all the drivers installed (had to extract them all from the "Macintosh Drivers for Windows XP" thing and then install them all manually) but got it done nonetheless.

Can you see how Paint Shop Pro 9 works? I get an administrator error even when signed in as one - can't even start the installation.

FYI, I had no problems with v.7.0. Installed and used to make me a nice new Vista background.

AMD64 3K+, EPoX 8NPA SLI nForce 4 SLI, ATI X600 256MB RADEON
Epson Perfection 4490 Photo film/paper scanner
Windows Vista Ultimate
AVG Antivirus - FTP Voyager v.14.0.0.2
PerfectDisk v.8 - Foobar 2000
Acronis v.9 (SEEMS TO WORK)
Forte Agent v.4.2
Faststone Image Viewer
Faststone Capture
Easy CD-DA Extractor 10.0.5
mIRC 6.21

All working well. Only items left are Roxio v.9 which is falsely advertized as working with Vista and my M-Audio 2496 audio capture card. No drivers for that yet.

C’est magnifique, mais ce n’est pas la guerre.

PeerGuardian® v2.0 Beta 6b (32 Bit) is not compatible and will not install on windows vista.

PeerGuardian v2.0 for Windows 98/ME (blocks TCP only) is compatible and installs on works on windows vista. http://forums.phoenixlabs.org/show [...] stcount=52
haker0 "we don't have an ETA for a vista compatible version of PG2
yes we are hoping to have it done soon but there have been delays because of complications with the driver
for now you can use the 9X version because it is better then nothing but it only blocks TCP connections

the Vista OS has not even been publicly released yet so any user that choses to use it should expect some incompatibility
users cant expect applications for an OS if the OS itself is not even ready yet"

www.bluetack.co.uk B.I.S.S. Blocklist Manager v2.6.5 BLMInstall265.exe Is compatible with windows vista with no problems.

B.I.S.S. Protowall 201B9_18apr06_beta is only vista compatible/functions only after a fix is applied. Only drawback is logging of blocked ip's isnt visible but protowall does block ip's that are imported from b.i.s.s. blocklist manager. Suggested Protowall Fix is here which shows how to disable ipv6. Kaspersky Internet Security v6.0.2.614 installs and works great. Needs the Kaspersky Vista patch downloaded from the Kaspersky site http://www.kaspersky.com/productup [...] =186437046
Updating through an already installed Kaspersky doesnt work properly. Also May need to go into Settings Anti-Hacker/Zones tab and untick Internet Stealth mode setting for some p2p software to connect properly.

The ANTEC Fusion Case has a VFD application that connects system information to the small LCD display in the case. VFD installs without a problem, but it never connects to the LCD display under Vista 32 Bit, it stays in disconnected status.

I made a few google search for this but couldn't get an answer.

I'm getting a new PC this week with dual-boot, WXP 32-bit and WVista Home Premium 64-bit. I should get it by friday.

My router at home is a D-Link DI-524. It doesn't seem to be compatible. My question is, will it work to configure my router should anything bad happen... and will it permit me to access the internet at all if already configured through my present PC? As long as I can access the internet everything should be fine, as I can boot to WXP to configure it should anything happen.

I'm at work right now but will check your answer from home later.

Thanks.

P.S.: I'm ditching D-Link if I have to upgrade my router for lack of support.   Any recommendation if that's the case? Not too expensive but reliable.

C’est magnifique, mais ce n’est pas la guerre.

Most likely it'll work. I know because I've used older D-Link products (routers and NICs) with Vista in both its X64 and X32 distros
