Ding ding ding, here comes the clue train, last stop everett. How can I recommend him a system when he never posted back? Yeah, he's probably a troll, no surprise there, or maybe you scared him away by insulting him for spending so much, people spend $10,000 on rims for their cars, at least this guy wants to spend his money on something he can use. So to put things in perspective, how fun/useful would this board be if we had a bunch of $400 Dell users on here bitching that $2,000 was to much for a PC everytime someone asked to recommend a config? Nobody even bothered trying to help him they just criticized him when, newsflash, he never asked how much to spend on a pc, he knew how much he wanted to spend.

As you will see none of your's.. Rolling Eyes
I don't know much about the kind of machine this guy wants, so I suppose I should have just insulted him out of my own ignorance like everyone else in this thread, is that what you're saying?
Er.. the point is that no one in their right mind would recommend components for a 15,000 PC. 'Recommend' entails some aspect of you think the product / combiation is good/useful, and obviously, the majority don't think a 15,000 PC is worth recommending.
Now if there are specific things that this beast would be used for that will harness the power - I'm sure people would be all over that. But there's a line between silly and not silly.. and that line is crossed by $15k system that will be outdated in a year.
im sorry but this is the gayest thread i have ever seen. Who in their right mind would spend 15k on a system?
You could get a top of the line PC plus a home theater, this is BS. If you are seriioulsy asking this forum what you should 15k on... i say a new brain...
Yeah... as as audiophile, I can certainly think of a good use for $15K. That'll cover the speakers and maybe the amp that I would like. I'd have to use my current CD player for now, but it's not that much of a slouch: Cambridge D500. It's just terribly outclassed by the Totem Wind's and SimAudio Moon Amp that I want.
