WINDOWS ME = sega 32x ( i liked the 32 though, lol)

Vista is more like what Dreamcast was, except we know vista WILL do well and Dreamcast should have.

Oh, don't hang me b/c i compared vista to dreamcast. I'm not a fan of windows, I use it b/c I have to .

i updated this:

you need 1.4-1.46v at 3.6ghz for 100% stability with 100% of all G0 Q6600

nvidia chipsets is usually 1.4875-1.52v

intel with droop drop is 1.475-1.4875

the 1.42 is for early release chips. as we all know "Vdroop" is built into intel cpu's. The higher the work load the more the voltage drops. Asus has over ridden the intel micro code with features called "load line calabration" or with the first P35 mobos "voltage damper".

Voltage damper with P35 or line calabration with X38, over rides intels voltage drop with load.

research indicates the new hafnium gate cpus yield small oc potential with larger silicon degradation - that is, cpus will fail quicker at lower voltage

as far as 3.8ghz+ with new 45nm, due too hafnium gates i recommended no more then 1.45v max. if your mobo droops set your max voltage to 1.46v.

i wonder if long term effects of 1.5v at idle for high droop mobos, like nvidia, may end up with cpu failures 3-4 years from now?

we rarely lock bios, only for bad newbies

the site is old and not updated due to repeat biz keeps me busy - a new site will come some day!

i responded to this message after almost 8 months, as of last month a new full service site is in the design stage.

currently we are shipping:

3.6ghz quad air cooled quad crossfire and 4ghz quad water cooled 3-way sli on the high end

vista works great - service pack 1 takes care of the usb, sleep and networking issues that drove me insane last year!

vista is a great os if your system can handle it, whey your running high end stuff vist rules

vista rules #1 - better defragging - its now been fully documented that vista build in defrag is seemless and better then all after market products. you just save half the cost of vista!

vista rules #2 - dx10 gaming - well this is #1 but who cares!

vista rules #3 ready boost! ok this is pretty worthless if you got gig or more of ram so lets call vista 64 bit vista rules #3 - finally 64bit that i can live with - 64bit gaming is here! 8gb systems!

vista rules #4 security - vista is rock tight unless your totally idiot -sorry to the total idiots who may had issues. the fact is i surf where you should not surf just to battle the old soviet block live! vista makes it boring - they can not get through simple avg/spysweeper wall.

vista rules #5 no raid discs needed! raid is easy! toss that floppy!

vista rules #6 fast installs - does anyone trust vista format its instant?? I still use xp to format if i need to feel slow is good! vista is fast!

Vista rules #7 graphics, vista desktop and interface is nice - it makes xp look so windows 85 -lol!

vista rules #8 - i think i make post called vista rules! ok one more........ IE7 and media player 11. ok guys while there are plenty of cool apps i have to tech support windows so i use it and i know it. i love media player 11 - its sweet! its worth $25 easy! Sure IE is no firefox but still it works and its safe and updates are auto.

lets face it windows vista rocks! i am sure i get slammed for this - but the fact is for $110 you get a media player, exploer, updates, defagging, easy raid, partition utility, fast installs and free media center!

media center can be intergrated with an xbox media extender and the fact is with 1 or 2 after market apps and anydvd its the most powerfull htpc out there!

vista rocks!
