@TC - Not trying to say that AMD isn't doing badly in the market, but they are a much higher risk stock, than most, and as such, any downturn in the markets (DJ and Nasdaq) will make their stock drop much harder. That said, today's results are much on line with what you are saying - AMD is dropping, while the market is actually going up. Maybe the analysts and investors see the writing on the wall, and are jumping ship? Who knows.
I think that amd could save itself by making the 790fx mobos for intel chips...i sooooo want to quadfire but im not buying a phenom! Or maybe they can pull a High end enthusiast gpu, I think their are people out there that want to spend $600+ for a gpu(not me.) Four enthusiast cards + q6600( or the next 1[q8xxx?!?) whatever its called) would be real nice, and amd mastered the art of scaling graphics cards (well at least 2). This may get amd to make people think twice of tri sli. I dont know who said this, it was on a tomshardware post, "too bad AMD CEO's arnt enthusiasts!"

why have sex when u can play computer games?!?
Is it possible that Technology Coordinator and BaronMatrix are the same person?
I'm sure Baron is just as offended as I am, jkjk.
I believe Baron lives in NYC, NY and I live in Warren, a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. Baron's a developer, while I'm more on the hardware side OS\Apps side.

HELL now I know why TC is always posting about AMD's woes, you are trying to hide the fact that your home state and AMD have a lot in common.
LOOK at this chart and tell me what you see....................just click the link.
TC's right, and i ask my self "what products would i want to buy from ATi/AMD?" - the answer is none, and thats a problem... cause im sure there are thousands like me who want what i want... sorry AMD you have nothing, even the products you offer were offered too late.
I'd like to know how you claim "none" to that question. I'm considering a Phenom build at the moment to bench it against my current system to see just how much better the CPU is over my current E4500. Second, ATI has two very good video cards out on the market. The 8800GT and HD3870 sell at roughly the same pace, only the HD3870 is a little bit cheaper, well in some cases a lot cheaper; so you save money. Do you like saving money? I know I do.
To say AMD/ATI has no products that customers might want is a bit naive. The HD3850 is a damn fine budget card, so, comparatively, if you are on a budget, it's a good option. In addition, the Phenom 9500 is $199 with free shipping, so you save roughly $90 over a Core 2 Quad Q6600 pending on shipping. For the price of the Q6600 alone, you can grab a motherboard and a Phenom CPU for less than the Q6600's price. Once again, this ties into saving money.
AMD might not be the performance leader, but their price cuts as of yesterday are certainly something to look forward to.
And please, oh please, don't shout "AMD fanboi!!!!!!" because if you'd take a look at my signature I'm an Intel employee, and I own an Intel CPU. I'm a person that likes to save money while attempting to maximize performance. I'm sure there's thousands of people out there like me who want what I want.
Yes, I have seen that, and it makes me so happy that I dumped my remaining AMD stock back when it was close to $10. I can't say my other stocks are doing great, but at least they have only fallen a small amount for the most part.

Evil lurks in the databanks as it lurked in the streets of yesteryear. But it was never the streets that were evil.
$7.68! How to buy ATI and end up being worth less than what you just bougth. AMD is qucikly going to be irresistable as a takeover target. Do you guys think I can trade them a couple of wicked rigid frames and an old Knucklehead for the company?
Oh... I forgot... the only Knuckleheads are the ones who run AMD...

Hey, I think an old Knucklehead is a lot more valuable than AMD!
