Waiting to see if INTC drops to the $5-8 range befor I get in on some of that action.

well if read every time i posted trades on intel or amd i think i am 100%

intel will go back and make new highs in 3-12 months, if intel reduces the number of cpu's.

intel needs to reduce the cpu number in half and raise prices, they have too may cpu's in the under 100 range they only need 3 or 4.

they need 4-6 quad core cpu's and they need to price the E8500 over $300 - the q6600 should never had been priced so low. i doubt they make the same mistake twice

its funny, EU slams intel for limiting technolgy and driving up prices. Intel is introducing new technolgy faster and faster and prices are lower and lower.

to make the eu happy they will need to raise prices - profits will rise

now they got get rid of all those old chips and consolidate the product line.

intel will not go below 18 and may trade in the upper 17 range. i expect intel will bottom soon and trade between 18 and 22 until march or april until it resumes it way up above the $27 and some change, area

the die shrink and cost cutting will pay off more and prices will rise with 1600fsb adoption

Monty Python pwns the world! :)

Kids today are turning into zitfaced beachballs because all they do is sit on their a$$es downloading pron and playing games. If I had a teenage kid, Id snap his controler in half, kick him out the door and tell him not to come home until he got laid. Especially if he coudl get a chick with a sister who was over 18 for dad! :)

Good father. Or... a MILF.

I know what you mean though. I'm 22, I grew up with computers. I still got out and played sports in high school and college. I still work out 3-4 times a week. I love overclocking and reading up on computers, but I feel bad for the kids who take it too far and never get out and the parents do nothing.

AMD has bottomed??? Yes, after another quarter of loss.... Well, at this point we can count on then to deliver us nothing but loss.

As for parts, I am getting more and more attracted to the HD3870x2 the more I read about it. I wonder if I can get HP's Blackbird drivers and do crossfire on my rig (680i chipset and moving to 780i one day when EVGA says my board is ready). I share the same Mobo... so I don’t see why I couldn't.

Hey, MILFs are fine as long as they became mothers early and are still 21 or younger! Women over 30 are only good for cooking and sewin quilts. :pt1cable:

I know a guy who has two sons, one 13 the other 15. They come home from school at 4 pm Fri and leave their room only to pee until Mon 8 am. Nothing but pron and games. Their mom brings them meals in their room and she doubts that they sleep at all right throuhg the weekend! I keep telling him to go up to his kids room with a sledgehamer.

I am calling a bottom on amd in a bear market

1st the intel lawsuits should give amd the time to straiten out their problems, look for new stepping in a few months.

I remember the last tech company that depended on lawsuits. Anybody else remember SCO?

Without a doubt, Intel has been guilty of predatory business practices. I can't say how legal or illegal they are. But the investigations into their strongarm tactics have been going on for years. This would imply that it has been difficult to prove them illegal. And as long as Intel isn't dumping, it's not illegal to lower prices.

I googled "intel lawsuit" and got several hits. The U.S. lawsuits don't seem to be going anywhere. And when Intel gets tired of messing around, they could sign a consent agreement and pay the fines out of petty cash.

The E.U. lawsuit is a different matter, simply because of the socialistic orientation (the State as nanny) of the E.U. At any rate, I doubt if AMD would see any money from the E.U. suit. The primary effect of a loss here would be punitive - we'd likely see a temporary drop in Intel's share prices.

I wouldnt take offence at the eu's tactics, yes there is a certain anti-big company prejudice going on with them, but they are a stronger regulator than the u.s. and they must have some kind of genuine complaint and evidence thereof on their desks. Personaly Im from the u.k and i hate the eu, but they are good in employee protection and health and safety matters. Without them my last employer would have made me work shifts within less than 12 hours of each other. So thats one good thing lol.

just so you know why (i think) amd is rallying so hard when i should be falling with intel

people shorting intel are buying amd on spread

since amd is low low and intel is going low to low low

the specs - buy amd in 3:1 to the intel shorting

this has something to do with the rally in amd - specially after more losses - only 17cents! and $2.89 in good will (no tangible value) from ati.

Hey now! There's nothing wrong with a hot looking MILF! Especially when I'm closing on 57 years old. Then we can have some common memories to talk about later, like when GTO's were new, etc. Besides, they've had a few years to refine their techniques for maximum pleasure.

I notice that AMD is now bouncing around 7 even. Seems strange that it would be so high, what with posting continued losses and having no viable chip to sell for at least another quarter or two. Maybe the ATI division is the cause, maybe its because there has been so much money pulled out of the market that people are now deciding they have to do something with it other than keeping it under a mattress. And I don't feel sorry at all for all those who were shorting it back when it was in the 5's.

sailer its what i said above

lets say you want to short intel - but if the market rallies you loose money even if intel is dropping
that is, if the market rallies 500-800 points in 3 days intel will go up 1-3 dollars

if the market continues to drop or stay the same intel is dropping - you clean up

so you buy amd as insurance its called a spread - if the market rallies and you short intel you make money on amd and break even
if the market stays the same amd will not move much but intel drops

you make money on the spread - spread is buying amd and shorting intel

that is why amd is rallying on seemingly bad news

i got a 92 on the series 7!
