I think DX 10 is about the only selling point for Vista actually.

With only 2gb, and the buffer requirements for two vga cards, is it possible that you do not have enough memory to run a big game? See if the hard drive is much busier in sli, or check it with the performance monitor.

Sorry for no contribution to this thread, BUT CRYSIS WAS THE MOST OVERHYPED GAME I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS.

For 10 months I read about Crysis on the forums. Tech freaks spent thousands to gear up. Crysis was launched. And that was that. No one had hardware to play it. Those that did were horridly disappointed. The story line sucked. Yeah, it was a good game, BUT nearly a year of reading about it EVERYDAY on the forums, and then it didnt step up to the plate.

Seriously, there should be some award for this. Cant believe people just let this one go. The bottom line is that its a good game, but WTF was all the hype about? All that money spent. All that attention. This was the biggest flop in game history IMO.

I'm trying to calm myself down for Spore. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. We can only hope.

Have a nice weekend ya all.

@housemonkey: I was directing my post to the op(gellert) . I suppose the direction of a long thread gets confused.

You have to ask yourself who overhyped Crysis and did you believe that hype? If you did then you must be unhappy with the game. I have only one 8800GTX (the rest in my signature) and I played Crysis with the settings in Crysis Tool below with an average of 70 FPS with a minumum of 34FPS. I don't know about you but I never expected to be able to max all the in-game setting in Crysis and thats what people are crying about, the game itself was excellent gameplay plus a great story. Crysis was everything I expected and more, it seems to me that the people that hate Crysis don't have the hardware to run it at mostly high settings.
