The confusion I was taking... was to run a Q6600 at 3000mhz or 3ghz, and being told an E8400 would still be 600mhz faster. That was my take on what yomama was saying to me, and how it confused me or him.

I think I'm just reading/typing too much at one/same time.

High 500 FSB? In order to achieve 4.0Ghz, the least FSB you need is 450Mhz. I already show you a picture that Coolaler (not himself) took an E8400 to 4.0Ghz with 1.26V. How come your "a lot of people" is different from "Coolaler's" data?

I'll say it again. No one, not Intel, not you, not the vendor you bought it from, guaranteed a 4.0Ghz overclock. The premium price is due to its overwhelming demand and low supply. Intel never priced them at a premium (183USD tray price). It is YOU, along with others who believed the chip can be OCed to @#$%^, therefore dropped your greens on it.

You're thick aren't you? If OC is all you care, then why don't you get a Pentium D 805 and OC it to 5Ghz?

As I posted earlier, I'm not sure about XtremeSystem users needs 1.4V to achieve 4Ghz, those who have knowledge about overclocking only needs 1.26V.
