no i cant figure it out, people talk about the cards not being able to overclock b/c there is a bios lock on it but I got them to 900/1100 but on gpuz it says 891/1094, dont get it, riva turner registers them as 900/1100 , what did you get on 3dmark06 with the e7300

I haven't gotten the 7300(it'll be released in July) yet. It's all a plan for now.
I estimate it will score about ~3600 @ 4.0GHz and ~4000 @ 4.5GHz for CPU. My Q6600(3.0GHz) with 9600GT(720MHz/1800MHz/2016MHzDDR) scores ~12500 (~4700 for CPU).

And as for clocks I'd belive GPU-Z(but it could be driver bug) on that one but check if they downclock on idle. Furmark is usefull as it runs in window so you can check temps/MHz will you run it at full load. I've had an 8600GT
that was clocked at 600MHz for core and GPU-Z always reported it as 594MHz.

I see, i checked my newegg order and my motherboard should be here when i get home for work, I hope this is the one. Wish me luck. what was that website you linked me too, what did you want me to look at

I hope you get lucky with this board. :)

The website was an ASUS P5E (x38) specific "all in one" northbridge/cpu/voltage regulator cooling water block.
Other models are on the way, this one will be available from tomorrow (or so they say). :D

I hope, i am reading up on the motherboard but not to much out there only for the DQ6 with ddr3 support is out there.

Ok got it in last night, I like it no resetting the bios, it does it automatically, i got it to 4.4ghz a hell of a lot easier than with the dfi, granted i have no idea how to use the motherboard, ill keep you posted, not to mention my cpu is about 5-7c lower than on the other motherboard and my voltages are a lot better.

Excellent. So the 23k is off the table already? :)
I guess now you can aim for 25k.

I wouldn't have thought there would be such a difference. The tweaker reputation aside I'd be guessing the DFI is less optimized than the Gigabyte as the Gigabyte had some months to mature as it's the same as an EX38, but already revision 1.3. I think it's still an F1 BIOS so Gigabyte did an awesome job with it. Gigabyte FTW! :D

Nope, got 22969 on 3dmark06 with 4.453ghz and i cant get my cpu to go over 4.5 with this board yet, we will see this weekend. yep now i have to figure out how to optimize my ram and get my read write and copy times back up to 9500

hey whats this thing people are talking about temps being 10c higher in everest and core temp b/c I do see a big difference of temps between that and gigabytes easy tune which reads 10c, b/c i have my qx9650 at 4ghz right now and it idles at 26c on easy tune but 40c on everest and core temp.

It has something to do with calibration and linearity of test sensors.
They are accurate at stock voltage and when you increase your Vcore you raise their voltage a bit as well so they are a bit less accurate. In general CoreTemp/HW Monitor are considered to be accurate enough.

If you take the time to calibrate SpeedFan or check RealTemp they are even better but for every day use CoreTemp is accurate enough (it's also a bit safer as it reports higher temperatures).

What is the ambient temperature in your computer room? 26C is quite low but since you are watercooling it's probably quite accurate.

steeda, nice rig you got there. Make me jealous, really. But i think your cabelling is bad though, sorry. You should re-arrange your cabelling inside your case, otherwise bad air flow inside your case.

R352, your are right LOL, but that was my old rig and now it looks totally different, I cut panels out underneath the motherboard tray since then and now I have 2 video cards and I have no room, I will post pictures tomorrow night, but you were right and now I have no room.

Andrius, got my computer stable at 4.35ghz but i changed it and now I cant get it back, LOL so will try this week or weekend. This totally sucks too. even had it to a low vcore which was 1.52v and scored a 22k on 3dmark06, i should stop doing this crap, it is killing me, also my computer is not rebooting anymore since the new motherboard but I cant get any good memory speeds as well, I have only gotten as high as 8700 but the board is good and it even gives you settings to set manually in your motherboard.

steeda, next time when something works write it down. I've been doing that since 2001. Every time I get to overclocking I make a table (excel or whatever you use) of all the settings I've checked and comment on what impact I've noticed. The stuff I write down is CPU core voltage, FSB, multiplier, (G)MCH voltage , FSB voltage, DDR2 voltage when overclocking and anything else I change from default/auto. The file gets quite large for getting a Q6600 to 3.6GHz but I only went to 1.4V on it so it's all marked unstable.

If only it would be possible to store BIOS settings to a file and restore them automaticly when needed. :)

you can in profiles in the bios section, too bad I dont do that, I got 4ghz stable with orthos last night at 1.5v for 8 hrs and never got above 63c, and yes i agree on writing it down I just havent and im paying the price

Yes, I know about the BIOS profiles but they are limited (only 2 or so).
Loading them into a filesystem is a great feature (RAMPAGE Formula).

I'm having second thoughts about getting an E7300.
I think I'll get another quadcore instead.

Profile: enthusiast

I would definitely get another quadcore but I have no idea why your getting one if your not going with a qx9650, you will never see a difference and people will only get the new q's to 3.6-3.8ghz, thats all I have been seeing.

Oh just for future reference on the PSU front. The XS list referring to the TruePower series is for the TruePower Trio series ONLY that are ranked as Tier 3 (Which were not that great of a PSU in my opinion), however the Neo series and the newer TruePower Quattro series are definitely up top again. So TruePower Trios are far from TruePower Quattros as far as quality goes.
