Use metric volts though, not english volts, motherboards made in china use communist metric voltage ! tou don't want to raise the psi too high and blow out a voltage tube !

We need a new UN initiative to establish global volts. Where are the standard setting organizaitons when you need them. Stomp out nationalism and jingoistic pride. Go global. Then no one would have to worry about too high a psi or or some poor boob blowing a voltage tube.

Actually, I would rather see some software have standards like hardware. Basic standards to promote interoperability could end the MS domination of pc O/s and office applications. Why don't we have software standards?

Whatever you do, do not forget the car battery and the jumper cables.

Mossberg that is a good idea, a ups that uses a deep cycle marine gel battery, that mfer would run you comp. for awhile !

Yea cannot do anything without the battery in jumper cables. Need it for the extra juice for overclocking too.

Big mistake getting the Rampage mobo.

I tried folding with an ASUS motherboard once - just snapped right in half.

Yea those Asux boards are not very sturdy.

If your CPU still doesn't fit, get a wireless adapter. Make sure you get one with an adjustable frequency gain.

Higain - great overclocking potential.
Logain - just plain pointless.

Hmm, that 9650 should have worked. If you haven't taken it back to the store yet, I suggest spreading lots of Vasoline on the rear, then push it in gently. If you hear a noise that sounds like a squeal, it means you should stop for a second and let it adjust to the new parts.

Also make sure you have enough thermal paste between the CPU and the socket. I recommend Arctic Silver 5.

Ok I bought a new CPU a duo core 2 7200 that fits properly in the socket and the computer works now. but i accidently broke off the cpu fan pin header earlier when I was welding the phenom fan on by mistake. so i set it to the proper voltage as i was told to and i am running it with the fan unplugged but the heat sink on the socket properly I hope that will be ok! I put a house fan blowing in it to make up for the CPU fan because i can't afford another motherboard like the asus rampage.

also I didn't have any thermal paste so I used toothpaste. It seems to be working fine so I think I will let it run PRIME95 for a few hours to make sure it's all stable!

Looks like you're set. House fans are an enthusiast favorite to cool CPUs. Toothpaste works as well just make sure it isn't peppermint, because frankly the smell is gonna make you a hermit.

I've heard the extra whitening toothpaste helps, but only if it's not the gel kind. The gel kind is the wrong consistency and doesn't have good thermal transfer properties.

I prefer Crest Whitening w/ Tartar Control myself, idle at 70C on 3-stage cascade :D

No, no Colgate is best. I idle at 78C. Beat that, sucker!

Dammit, maybe I should try lapping the condenser.
