To make a small computer Building company. not like Gateway, or Dell. but more or less a Company to match Prices on Store Bought computers for More performance. As i said im going into planning stage I have pictures of my computer Brothers computer( both Home built) and such But as a Moron I forgot to take pictures of the computers I built for others. D: T_T and Because I cannot afford those Super High end Computers like $1500+

my sister just put in her 750i SLI FTW mobo and a 3.16ghz intel E8500, she does have two 8800GTS but she just scored a 14711 overall on 3dmark06 with xp its slightly irritating but worth mentioning i think because i have my Asrock AOD790GX/128M that i just put in and my cpu was clocked to 3.3ghz its a athlon X2 6000+ i do only have one HD3870 though and running vista and got a score of 10186 overall
Hi guys, just for reference this is an I5 with a 5870.
Stock 2.6 CPU w/ turbo, 3.4 CPU w/o turbo and 3.9 CPU w/o turbo (kind of unstable), 5870 is at stock clocks throughout.
2.6 and 3.4
3.9
To be honest i'm a little disappointed... was hoping for one in the 25-30k range with ~4Ghz...
Didn't really pay much attention to CCC, realised afterwards i had 8x AA and 16x AF forced on. Dunno if 3Dmark overrides that. I didn't have time to run them again.
I was lucky in that i got my 5870 before the prices got totally out of hand! Still the most expensive card i've ever bought

Not yet, I will try pumping up the clocks in CCC, but i'm sure its possible to get a lot more, the fan speed never goes over about 27%, max temp i've seen is about 68C. I read somewhere that Rivatuner doesn't work with these cards...If anyone has used it on a 5xxx series I'd be really interested in what they got.
Even without Rivatuner, CCC will allow you to OC a fair amount on stock volts. You will see a performance increase from OCing through CCC, unless you got a totally boned GPU that is only good for stock clocks.
Yeah, I am kinda glad my new build budget won't be ready till January. If I was trying to build it now I would probably go a little crazy. I hope the pipelines are full by then (or at least not bone dry).

Played with my ram oc at bit, managed to get it working around 1800 8-8-8-21 and bumped my vtt up a little to make things stable. Verified everything is set for performance in CCC, maxed both GPU and memory sliders and manually set the fan speed 100%. This card really responds to a stable CPU clock speed... Interesting score only jumped a couple of hunderd just over 25k.
That will do fine.
Rivatuner doesn't work with the 5870 yet...

Wow, nice. Personally I'd be too afraid to fry my CPU if I was gonna set it at 1.8V
Well I wouldn't suggest it but I have a e2200 and i have ran it at 1.85 volts and had her rinning at 3.85 ghz I didn't try a faster speed lol I still use the computer alote.
