I think somebody's in bed with the French!
J/K
Awe come on I think JDJ is better than that........ I hope!
I'll trade my post count for your points. 1 post = 500 points. Jaydee can have this approved with the French technoweenie guy. Posts for sale. make offer.
No need to buy your points, I'm still waiting for my points to magically double overnight...
Incredible how a month old member can accumilate 3000-4000 points in a few short weeks with like 200 to 300 posts. Then guys who have been here for years have like 8000-12000 posts and have 2600 points. I don't get it. If someone cares to explain please do.
That's French [lack of] logic for you. They seem to think it's a great idea to alienate the old timers and reward the noobs for posting as many meaningless posts as possible. I don't get it either.
Its all about the quality and quanitity of posts. If a user who is new to this site has more time than anything else to post and answer questions(getting them right as well) it should not matter how long they have been a member. Length of time you have been a memeber means nothing here. Also, I dont believe it should be a big deal that a new guy has more points than the guy who has been here for 7 years. Thats kinda like a anew guy comes in to a new job and advances faster than the guys that have been there longer, he ends up being the boss or a lead guy real fast. This guy is obviously more in tune with whats going on or more knowledgeable or just takes his work seriously. It is a shame of the jealousy and/or resentment that I have witnessed here. If the points or ranks makes you so mad or whatever, carry you @$$. If you want your rank to go up continue with the posting and answers you will get rank quickly if you have the time.
Ha, I have 3+ years time spent, LOL!
What gets to people who have been on the site a long time is that their posts prior to the new system hardly count for anything. If a reply is worth 4 points, it should be worth 4 points regardless of when it was posted.

Or we could stoop to your level and just post random crap to falsely inflate our rank, right?
'xactly. Long time members have been demoted. Give us our points. The guys running this forum fall into the distinct category of being a Dufus. Dumb.
Yup, according to the new point system I should have over 13,000 points and Badge should have over 32,000 points.

This I do agree with
I believe Justin and the French guy would come on here and justify this bogus system they have now implemented. We will probably see a post explaining it all. God I'm glad I didn't attend a special school district and have to deal with stupid people all my life.

I dont really post random crap. Nor do I falsely inflate my rank. I have made joking comments though, but mostly I have honestly posted as much as I could about various topics, answered many questions and I have only started 2 threads. This thread was merely fun for me at first, then I decided to make a point (becoming regular, like I am) I still firmly believe that long time users got the shaft, but there is nothing you can do about it now. Just hop on the band wagon and stop the whining.
OOPs I started 4 threads.........WOW!
Hey, you ever had a French doll "surrender" to you....
| jaydeejohn wrote : Hey, you ever had a French doll "surrender" to you.... |
Keith Olberman's father did? Have you ever witnessed a more god-ugly individual than Olberman? Please read into this the information was supplied only as an example, but especially personal.
my EX would and she was full blooded french. She would surrender at the drop of hat or my drawers. hehe
Jaydee gained 3000 points in one day. I have hope in my heart the people responsible for this kind of stupidity will, with hard work (please), progress beyond the mindset of the hate filled fixated 2 year old they are. I hate you.
Always wondered what was wrong with that guy. He was good on ESPN. Musta gained "condfidence"
About the french doll, I didnt even have my bayonette out....til later, but she surrendered anyways
NOW THATS AN @$$ hahahahaha....lol.......rofl
Not you Jaydee. The 2 year old minds running Tom's.
I did gain 2000 points from whence we started, oh Collette.....
Yesterday, 'yer point total was 3500 points. I noticed because you were a Veteran at that point level and I figured that 3500 was the Veteran level. I checked today and you have 6000 points!
5000 is
I do do a ton of posting, and have created alot of threads, newsy stuff mostly, and have also been accused of best answer several times

In the last 24 hours?
yes since yeaterday
I'm sure my point total has just been overlooked. My points will be 5000 strong tomorrow. And Tom's hardware, as it is advertised and presented today in it's current format, will be overwhelmingly successful both financially and within the online cutting edge tech sites community.
Between Justin and the French, the Tom's folk have created a whole new image sure to attract new people to the site.
No, I had over 4000, and almost was a Giggilo when all this happened
Actually, since its happened, I had around 3800 points at the start.
Well, I noticed your point total was 3500. Only because you were listed as a Veteran. I specifically checked how many points the veteran distinction required. Today you have 6100 points. How do it do it?
The fact of the matter is Justin and possibly the French took over and went poking around the forum and noticed members with thousands of posts with years of time and became jealous. So, in keeping with their inherent 2 year old mentalities, they cut down the veterans on the site instilled by their jealousy.
Whilst I am an arsehole everyone would agree, I do feel that if any rank system has to be used then time spent has to count for something as someone who posts in every thread, for a few weeks/months, then buggers off should not be seen as being more knowledgeable.
There are a number or people who have been a member longer than I but who's post counts are much lower due to the quality, not quantity of their posts. It is wrong that a newbie may think they are not worth as much as someone who has been here a fraction of their time as who here clicks everone's more information?
Its important then that we step in in such cases. Set em straight. Theres those who I listen to, and those I ignore, and those I help, and if its an older veteran, then theyll be getting my help and respect, ya git
I am looking at two people's profiles right now and staring in utter disbelief at the number of points they've racked up. One is OvrClkr, the other is xaira. The latter joined just over a year ago and has 535 posts and 1483 points. I have not seen many posts from this person other than "yeah", "me too", "^+1" and even consecutive one-word posts like "this" "thread" "has".
Additionally, xaira has now got 2 posts reported to the mods.
^ + 1
Yeah, but his high point total makes him informed and knowledgable. The formula for those points is a well thought applicable interpertation of a member's presence on the forum.
At least JDJ is now a veteran.
JDJ and I were about 500 points apart when the new member ranking system reared it's ugly head. Currently 6100 to 2600 points. He must have had a lot of best answer votes or the ballot box was stuffed.
So the new point system looks like this:
start a Noob thread = 1200
member starts a thread = 40
Noob replies to a thread = 1000
member replies to a thread = 4
best answer designated = (Justin's decision)
best answer designation JDJ = 3000
Yea I can't see how he could have made that many points so fast. I wish the guy who made the system could give us a nice detailed post about how the heck these numbers are generated.
JDJ gained 3000 points overnight. We don't know the guy who did this or how the point system works? I'm expecting an immediate French surrender. What else?
Dont you get extra points for starting threads also? Ive started quite a few. You guys are makin me feel guilty here (as I look at my sore fingertips)
Sorry JDJ. I didn't mean to. Pleae acept my apology. But, I did notice your point total was 3500 in the last 48 hours.
Nope, been a vet since before it was a vet, it was supposed to be addict, then they changed it again, next thing you know, Im a vet instead. It was right around this very last change, and I saw it coming. Theyve definately included all my posts and threads and my bestest answers too heheh
JDJ, is anyone else designated a veterarn? JDJ, I am certain your post total was 3500 yesterday. I will say, I could have read it wrong. But I even double checked it at 3500. Then compared my 2500 total to your 3500 total to. Maybe I clicked on someone's elses 'More Information' without realizing. That's the only thing I can think of. I look again today and your total is 6000+. I couldn't believe it.
