Not if you skip school....
I did that in highschool, i skiped school and doubled at work. 30 hours of overtime makes up for the little information i missed. Seeing a $1300+ paycheck for two weeks of fast food....not bad.

lol....nah
i worked fast food from 15-17. about 18months....at the end i was an Assistant Man. They let me close...lol.
i haven't done fast food in like 4years....its been retail, construction, prostitution, slingin' rock, and right now loading docks for UPS.
i haven't eaten fast food from the place i used to work...not in 3years. and i dont eat fast food hardly ever. I have had my fill of fast food...literally

The car i have now is falling apart and i figure in 2years when i will HAVE to get a new one....15k for a 2001vette wouldn't be a terrible investment at all.
A week in mexico for a grand? what kind of ritz places you staying at? for a grand i could live in mexico for a month, and have enough money when i come back to make a stop off in vegas.
My g/f is spoiled beyond words as it is...i dont need to give her rings. Just make her pasta, help her with homework, and not insult midgets in public....and i am golden.

Yeah, I'm returning to school. I won't be working nearly as much, but my hope is to have enough saved up by then so that I can actually take it easy with the working during school. Senior year, don't wanna mess up my 3.91 GPA. I might not get to enjoy it much this year, but once my life calms down and I get most of it paid off, I'll be on easy street with a great car!
apparently midgets...uh...i mean little people, dont like to be called midgets.
I dont get it, also i am not allowed to make fun of retards and cripples.
But sacriicing like that gets me anything i want....so i guess its worth it.
It probably has to do with her going to be a Special Ed Teacher....

what a lovely attitued, lol. I guess you'd better not tell her that only midgets fit in Mazda Miatas, and only retards buy Hyundais... (jk Eden!) lol... hey, I'm 6'4''... no Miata for me, I guess!
Only steers and Queers come from Texas...and you dont look too much like a steer to me.
I'll have you know we dont serve Fried chicken and Watermellon in my mess.
If god wanted you up here, he would have miricled it by now.

That opening scene is the most quoteable scene ever....its like 10min long and just one funny line after another.
I nearly pissed myself laughing the first time i saw it.

i don't know how good of a head you have on your shoulders, but the insurance company always thinks pessimistically. i wonder how much a 17 year old makes to pay for full coverage insurance, which is what you'll have to get if its a loan, and how he will be able to pay for the cay while going to school and having his share of fun as well....? oh and sleep! got to have some of that as well?
anyway, for that much money, you have so many choices so i think you should get something you'll enjoy a few years down the line since you'll more likely be stuck with it for some time to come. get a low maintenance car because the chances are the payments and insurance for that car will leave you high and dry.
i'm looking to buy a car myself. the other day i was in the auction, looking for a car. i saw a lancer evo with a burnt engine. i was real close to buying it and ordering the 320 HP Japanese engine for it. it went for 11k. the cool thing is who ever buys it can get the jap engine for it and rebuild the burnt engine and sell it. other than the burnt engine, the car was in excellent shape. a few other cars that caught my eyes were the supra, 350z and a M3... i so want that [-peep-] M3!!!!
good luck, just make sure you don't get yourself in schit you can't get yourself out of!
Honestly when looking for a brand new car, I just don't see the point of buying it. It's more expensive, and for what, so after 5-6 years you can sell it for a minor profit?
And what's the point keeping a new generation car after this long. Loaning for 3-4 years, and changing is IMO a much better strategy, you pay less and you get to change cars in exchange of newer technology and probably more features. Of course, I say all this in regards to people who don't drive old cars or are into cars like Scammy.

My insurance would go up by about $600/year in most of those cars I listed. Which sucks, but isn't prohibitive. I only pay the difference, as I said. And I don't pay for gas, which is another important factor. Everything else is on me.
I am definitely going to get something that will last. That's why I'm so intrigued by Honda/Acura. We have four Hondas, an Acura, and a BMW, and they're all rock-solid-reliable, so I know they're winners. This is for all intensive purposes a permanant investment, meaning I won't get rid of it until I have to, and if it's an Acura it won't be for a really long time, when I'm out on my own.
Oh man Lancer Evos are freaking cool. Holy crap. Too bad you didn't get it. Oh and I think you mean the **cough** 276hp Japanese engine... lol... This kid I know has a grandfather who just bought a brand-new Impreza WRX STi. It's funny to see this little old guy driving a 300hp beast rally car.
I love the BMW M3 more than any car but the Acura NSX (my dad says he's buying one of those as soon as he isn't paying for me anymore! lol). AHHH The M3 is so pimpin! It's got everything you could want in a car. Great looks, massive power, ample luxury, perfect handling, not too big, not too small.. 6-spd that makes expert shifting seem easy... I WANT IT!!! I'm so jealous, my friend's dad has one.
Mugz?? Hasn't that been done before??? I'm quite sure RC was there, I'll ask him.

No longer will I follow.
Can anybody hear me?
I just want to be me.
