[quotemsg=369671,35,85702]They left Power because the PPC prcessors got left behind in the AMD vs Intel battle for supremacy. When they 1st switched they were claiming up to 4 times the PPC performance.
I've been a Windows user since 1993 and I also have Vista on both my Macs. To be honest, both Macs run Windows better and smoother than any Windows PC I've ever had. Just about every new feature Vista has introduced, OSX had with Tiger's release over 2 years ago. Leopard's features are going to leave Vista's in the dust, sorry: http://www.apple.com/macosx/guidedtour/

Why are apple users always so damn whiney. See, we in the PC world get a$$ raped all the time without ANY post-sale incentives! You know what we do before we buy a something? Research a product's roadmap prior purchase and avoid this altogether!
I don't see any Apple users whining. We were told Leopard's release was in October way back in April, anyone that didn't listen was probably a new buyer. The guy that wrote the article is a PC user./quotemsg]
AMEN!
you don't see any because of censorship! Apple deletes anything negative about their products.
Not only are apples users snobs, but with this new information appear to be naive and gullible.
But it's ok sit back listen to some itunes on your iphone and watch some ivideo on your imac... wouldn't want to stress you out with a Leopard BSOD let alone another $130 bill for your newly paid for imac.
It is time for VT tech, as XEN or KVM, for switching between OLD and NEW OSs as XP-Vista and Tiger-Leopard, with some Linux, and in the case of windows, internet with linux, is better and safe.
A mac is no different that a PC, if you think you are hard on you computer and you've had it for some time. copy what you need, delete what you don't and reformat!!
Clean up your crap and you'll see a difference Think spotlight.
Hello people...it's so totally crazy to talk about this. Loyal Apple customers that purchased new Macs in August and September will have to pay full price for Leopard?????????????? Yes, do you know how much you have to pay for the full edition of Microsoft Vista? What is the full price of this great MAC OSX? Yes, only 125 euro. Hardware in a great quality casing does cost a lot of money. Let's face it....do you see any cables run al over the place? No, it just looks solid. For example if you wanna buy a quality Lian case that can only dream of the mac quality casing.....you think the Lian comes cheap? Dream on. You'll have to pay big money for it. The only real negative point when it comes to MACS are the graphics cards, allthough lately this is changing as in the near future many games will be running on Macs as well. This was never the case in the past. Tomshardware never told you this did they. Keep an eye on ID TECH 5 Engine from ID software. It's Direct x 9 based and kicking ass. It proofs what MAC is capable of nowadays when it comes to gaming. Also other media stuff MAC OSX has been proven to be the king of the hill. For example musicians. Yes also a thing you won't hear from Tomshardware. Lots of musicians are using MAC OSX just because it's the best. Should I go on? Anyways, some people always have to complain about something even when it's cheap (125 euro?). If you ask me than this site is anti Apple. Still, if Apple is willing to pay Tomshardware some amount of money I'm sure Toms hardware would suddenly also start to write the positive things about Mac OSX. If you ask me...this site stinks when it comes to Apple related topics. Tomshardware prefers an OS that is vulnarable for virii/spyware/malware/trojans etc as long as Microsoft pays them. Some people never get enough money even if they swim in it. Well Tomshardware....let me teach you something. You will first need to type a password before installing those few virusses available for MAC OSX. After that you can be happy again and tell the people that MAC OSX can have a (virus) as well if they are not paying you any $$$. But please also include what I've just told you. Youll need to type a password first. I'm outta here. I own a PC...so don't even start.

It's only a downgrade if you have a crusty old computer, and I'm sure the Apple OS never crashes, gets viruses and your sh*t don't stink neither.
you are absalutly right, Apple OSX Lepored never crashies or any of that other stuff that is suseptuble on WIndows! People with Computers with Vista should get it by now that going back to XP is a STUPID move out side of that FACT that VISTA has compadability issues.
