yeah you dont know me from the next person but i am not young(really it sounds like you're making me second guess my own age lol; and i can tell you you're about 2 years older than me). i would at least hope they can learn by my mistake and not their own(that being said you have to learn by your own mistakes as well). thats how i learned(not talking about grammar or spelling im talking about life in general).

"it's the web, it doesn't matter" very true and on that note im out for at least 8 hours cause i have been up all night, thats prolly why i have bad grammar to begin with(not lack of knowledge). as the screen tends to get kind of blurry sometimes.

Actually, maintaining the civility of these forums is something all of us have an interest in. It was you who derailed the initial discussion with ad hominem attack on Loftus, and I now see that you're trying the same with me.

Also, I wasn't defending Loftus' opinion. I couldn't give a cr*p about what size screen either of you have. I made no reference to the argument that the two of you were having. I was expressing my own opinion about grammar standards on the forum in response to your post.

It is becoming increasingly apparent that you're an extremely immature individual who;

a) Is secretly ashamed of his lack of communication skills, which is why you react so vehemently to any criticism of them.
b) Are slightly paranoid, in that you assume that you critics are part of some larger conspiracy to make you look foolish.

In future, I'd recommend that you take a deep breath and count to 10 before posting replies to post that have irritated you. You will win few friends and little respect if your response to any kind of criticism is to fly off the handle and insult everyone.

And for the record, if your best shot is calling me someone's "butt-buddy" you need to update your insults into something a little more clever and adult. Homophobia might be cool on the playground but most adults grow out of it. I won't report it this time since you're clearly insecure and I wouldn't want to add to your persecution complex.

Your comment (quoted in full for your convenience) is clearly inferring that you don't believe it is necessary to use correct spelling, puncutation and grammar, except whilst at work.

My reply to you was challenging that claim. That was it. No comment about screens or the relative merits of PCs vs consoles. Two completely different arguments, and yet in both you started to throw insults around because someone had challenged your opinions. If you insist on being close minded, that's your choice.

Yes, I claimed that you had a lack of knowledge regarding the use of "your" and "you're". And I stand by that comment, since you repeatedly got them wrong, which cannot be attributed to typing errors. I'm sorry if you took this to be a personal attack, but I don't my comments were unduly unfair.

I said "since you claim to not be young", because that's exactly what you had claimed! My next sentence was to suggest that the older users of the forum could (maybe should?) set a good example to the younger ones, so your age was relevant.

lack of knowledge is the nice way to say someone's dumb/stupid. and really it could be a typo 'your and youre' ok the 'r' and the 'e' key are right next to one another. who to say that i didnt forget to press the 'e' after i was done typing that word. it happens to alot of ppl out there. thats nothing new.

Wrong. Stupidity is a lack of intelligence - I never accused you of that. One can be ignorant simply because you've never been told/explained something. I've already encountered someone on these forums who got "your" and "you're" wrong simply because it had never been explained to them properly - I thought that may have been the case with you. I was very careful to say "lack of knowledge" and not "stupid".

The "e" excuse doesn't really wash, since "you're" also has an apostrophe. Also, if it was simply a typo, you'd only get it wrong sometimes, not consistently with the same error on the same word. You managed to get the "re" at the end of "nature" correct, for example. And you can't really attribute typing "could of" instead of "could have" to a typing error, can you?

I also wasn't calling you a liar. I have no way of knowing one way or the other, so I was relying on your claim - which I took on faith.

Hence, because you had claimed to Loftus that you weren't young, I was saying "since that is the case (i.e. since you are not young), shouldn't you be setting a better example?". You even agreed, saying that you'd hope younger members would learn from your mistakes. You clealry didn't take it as an insult at the time - I suspect you're now going through the earlier posts to try and find something in my first post.

Finally, my comment is clearly gibberish - the word "think" is missing. I would have corrected it had I noticed it!

He's 100% right, everyone else is wrong. Period. He couldn't grasp, and I DON'T mean this as an insult, there's no difference between a projector, an LCD, a plasma, a CRT, or a 3" black and white Sony Watchman. The thread had long since been derailed since it was about GTA4 coming to the PC. Not which was better, console or PC.

Well put. I've seen this thread popping up every couple of days and finally decided to check it out in hopes of finding news about GTA4 for PC. But instead I have to wade through pages of childish bickering about spelling and grammer. Now I'm not one to say I've haven't been in my far share of message board shouting matches or flame fest but I say it was about 1996 when I realized how pathetic it was to argue about spelling and grammer.
Anyways is there any real news about this game coming to the PC? I've always assumed it would but only have marginal interest so I really haven't kept up on it.

Now how many of you have pirated a (PS3, 360) title?
I had a chipped Ps1 and thats where it stopped, at that time it was easy enough to go to my local gameshop and they would mod it. Although my intent for the modding was to play japanese imports, I only later discovered its use in playing burned games.

I have only pirated photoshop cs2 and hypercam2 because they arent worth the money, hypercam2 is just to remove the "unregistered hypercam2" in corner and photoshop cs2 is a lot of money
