What game in 08 is everyone looking most forward to? - Page 4

Ya I also noticed that. I am also surprised about how many people have never even heard of it when I bring it up to people. I just learned of it about several months ago and started really following it the past couple months and to me it looks amazing. With WAR being delayed to fall now I have seen alot of people talking about playing AoC till WAR releases. If AoC turns out to be as good as us AoC fans are hoping I bet alot of people will stick around even after WAR finnaly gets released. I think and hope AoC is going to be a big hit but who knows.

Why would people be concerned about your commitment to EA?

If it is going to be good, people will buy it en masse. I am cautious about it though (and that is because its from EA), I will not be in line buying on the first day but if the game is received well, and I like what I see, I do not care who is publishing it.

I just bought Crysis (found it at good discount value) and it's a fine game, also published by EA. It's not all rubbish what they do, but they do deserve my cautious attitude as I've been burned a few times in the past as well.

I'll definitely give AoC a go. I've played a few MMOs and my favorite, by far, was lineage II. That game has basically imploded due to botting/farming and I'm hoping that AoC will be a good substitute. I'm hoping that it is as chaotic and raw as L2 - the gameplay trailers make it look pretty nutty.

HAHA!!!!!!!!!! I got a RA3 Beta key with the copy of C&C3 Tiberium Wars: Kanes Wrath. Can't wait to try it.

Alan Wake looks good but if they don't do Max Payne 3 I will be very dissapointed.

And HL2 Episode 3, hell yea. it sooo will be awesome. I just feel that Valve will make another great game with a killer ending that leaves you both satisfied and confused asking lots more questions.

Um this is the PC Gaming forum. Not PS3. Besides PS3 sucks. Just a lower grade rip off of PC hardware.

WHAT? They are porting FF8 to the PS3? And why would you look forward to that? That game was terrible.

Of course, pc is better than a ps3, and anything else. BUt just in the market of console (x360, ps3,wii) I prefer the ps3, i hate people who say ps3 sucks. Nowadays every nextgen console is good. Just different

All kidding aside, looking at a purely interface level, the PS3 is hands down the worst of the three. On a games selection level it is worse than the 360 by a long shot and, in my opinion, worse than the Wii by a slim margin. In the value add department, it wins handily with it's built in Bluray and free online, but for me at least, these are not reasons why I buy a games console. Generally the only multiplayer I tend to play is with friends at home.

For my purposes, the PS3 sucks and for anyone looking to play games I would recommend the 360 for it's vastly superior library, interface, and online functionality.

Wow, soon as you said that I had a flashback of all the PS2's I've worked on over the years. Electronically/Mechanically the Playstation 2 was the biggest pile I have ever seen. I lost track of how many lasers I had to clean and in the rare instances replace... (They had talk of using separate lasers but ended up putting both on a cheap one, they burnt out often too from normal use.) Not to mention I believe since release all the way to the last one there are about 14 different Playstation 2's.

Not to mention that the early versions PS2's lasers would slowly go bad. First they would stop reading CDs/PS1 disks. Then DVD movies. The PS2 disks. Every one did. I just don't like Sony products. They are cheap and low grade. Can anyone say exploding laptop battery or DRM screw up?

For some Alan Wake will fill the void that Max Payne was but for others it wont. Thats like Valve stopping HL2 after Episode 3 and coming out with another game. Not always will it fill the void trust me.

Only reason why I wiould like to see another Max Payne is that the storys are always sooo good. Alan Wake looks good but I would still like to see what Max Payne 3 would be. If it be the death of Max Payne then so be it but I would like to see another Noir with such nice effects. Plus bullet time always makes me feel good.

But who knows. I know a lot of good games are set for 2008. Spore, we already hace C&C3 Kanes Wrath which is interesting cuz it begins after C&C2:Teberian Sun and goes from the rebuilding of NOD to the end of C&C3 and beyond. I also wounder what happened to the Orange Tiberium and the Ion Storms. Oh well. I guess we will have to wait to see what happens this year.

I'm looking forward to The Force Unleashed. Looks good, hope it delivers. Hope they make a PC version or else I will get a 360.

I very certain you can actually pre-order if you have a local gamestop nearby. Also for those that are wanting Warhammer Online, thats also available with the super duper deluxe edition for pre-order.

All the Blizzard games are released "whenever they're ready", but I think that's a great thing. ^^ I can't think of a single Blizzard game that I didn't find fun or entertaining.
