Last message on previous page: lol What is it with people who talk about paying x amount on a PC to play z game. Once it's built, it can play every other game, future games, as well as do countless other things. No one would spend money on a PC JUST for 1 game unless they are either rich or retarded.
Anyway, Crysis. Awesome engine, first half of the game is very enjoyable, some crap parts towards the end (vehicle sections and spaceship) and then a ludicrously arcadey boss fight, but overall an above average shooter that happens to be gorgeous.
Crysis looks good......... are you people kidding me or did i miss out on the limited edition of crytek (makes the game look better) glasses.....
go look at a rock or at a wall in a hut..... i've seen better rock textures on the gamecube..........
and dont even get me started on the AI...... super smart..... i think not. super strong is about it. i pumped 3 FULL clips into a guard last night and he was still running around..........
DX10 support...... HAHAHAHAHAHA....... i'd rather play the game on XP and get my 10-12 FPS back. game looks the same and as well all know, you need 10-12 extra FPS to make the game playable because it was coded so ****.
atleast you can put COD4 in, turn everything up and run it extremely well on a mid range system. and you can kill guys with a normal amount of shots.
dont get me wrong..... Crysis is an alright game. as long as you have all your saved game files and you can jump over then large amounts of jungle that looks the same as the 30 mins of jungle you just waled through.
Don't even bring up the hacking argument please. I play CoD4 and BF2 competitivly, and both have the guys you *know* hack, but you can't prove a thing (btw, punkbuster stinks at catching hackers). Besides, multiplayer for CoD4 is basically the same as CS:S.
Crysis would have been better if the game did stay more open, as it was in the first few areas. But don't criticise the game because you refuse to run a 1280x1024 and then complain about the framerate. I remember that same argument when Doom3 game out, and no ATI card on earth (like anyone still had a FX at the time? ) could run the thing. Then came the 6600, and everyone was happy again.
