AMD to ship 90% of desktop CPUs at 65 nm by end-2007

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is proceeding to switch 90% of its desktop-processor production to the 65 nm node by the end of 2007, according to motherboard makers familiar with AMD's latest roadmap. In mid-2008, AMD is scheduled to implement 45 nm process technology, with the aim of making further cost reductions, said the makers.
