Classic FPS Game Blood Revamp Coming for Free
Before F.E.A.R., Condemned, and Gotham City Imposters, Monolith Productions worked with Duke Nukem developer and publisher 3D Realms to produce Blood, a shooter known for bad one-liners and ridiculous weapons.
Monolith Productions founder and ex-CEO Jace Hall wants to re-live the glory of the old days by bringing back the over-the-top shooter. It's not a re-master or a remake like Interceptor Entertainment's new Rise of the Triad. Instead, Hall just wants to bring the game back to the current generation of consoles so that new gamers can have access to it… and he's not asking for a single dime. Rather, he's looking for community interest, seeking it through a post on The Postmortem, a Blood community site: "My goal of course is for this all to be free, and all about gameplay and fun. You can rest assured that I have the resources to bring BLOOD back properly but like I said, I'm hoping to have the community participate in all this if it wants to so we can all do it together. This site is great and it would be great to see the Blood community grow!"
If you're interested in seeing Blood on up-to-date platforms, show Hall some support. He's not asking for money, just some interest in the work that he's doing to restore an old-school shooter.

... blood2 waz ok... not so fun as the first one, but... the creepy brainsuckers in the dark waz scary...
Had trouble on the PC when I first tried it, I had to go back later and try again if memory serves me right.
Once it was running fine I had a blast, many memorable fights in that game. Something about crazy floating dudes in an old church, while wandering around in what seemed like an almost open city where i could just walk into random buildings and encounter stuff (something you almost never see in a game today). Crazy final fight in hell or something, a boss before that encounter... it's been quite awhile.
They are not necessarily updated; they are just being run via an emulator.
He's also asking for community support and that's pretty much nonexistant on consoles.
