The ASUS M930. Use it like a normal cell phone ...

... or flip it open to reveal a keyboard.

The introduction of the M9030 was a sure thing even before CeBIT started. ASUS' design is reminiscent of Nokia's Communicator, uses the Windows Mobile 6.1 OS and weighs a mere 108 grams. Inside we find a 450 MHz Texas Instruments processor and 256 MB of flash ROM as well as 64 MB of RAM. Other features include a 2 megapixel camera with a flash, a Micro-SD card reader slot, WiFi (802.11 b/g), Bluetooth 2.0, and UMTS (HSDPA). The M930 is expected to be available in stores sometime during the second quarter of 2008 at a price of &$750 to $900 without a contract.

The ZX1 - fast as a Lamborghini?

ASUS is also adding a smartphone using the Murciélago look to complement its Lamborghini line of laptops. The ZX1 also uses Windows Mobile 6.1, uses a touchscreen as its input method, and also comes with WiFi (802.11b/g), GPS, Bluetooth, and UMTS/HDSPA. It too features a 450 MHz Texas Instruments CPU and 256 MB of built-in storage that can be expanded using a Micro-SD slot. Such a feature list commands an equally impressive price tag, namely $1,500 without a service plan.

You can find ASUS in Hall 26 at stand D39.
