Digital Camera And Digital Photo Frame Makers Conservative About Procuring Small-size TFT-LCDs

Taiwan-based manufacturers of digital cameras and digital photo frames are conservative about ordering small-to-medium size TFT-LCD panels due to an uncertain business outlook caused by sluggish economic growth and the subprime mortgage crisis in the US, according to industry sources. What was once a seller's market with a shortage of 2.5- to 8" TFT-LCD panels in the fourth quarter of 2007 has turned into a buyer's market with sufficient supply currently, the sources pointed out.
