PC gamers can only purchase a Digital Deluxe Edition while console owners have meatier packages to choose from. Figures.

Activision sent over a list of features customers will enjoy when purchasing the exclusive special editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops II. While PC gamers aren't forgotten, they'll get the short end of the stick, offered with only a "Digital Deluxe Edition" while Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers will have exclusive "Care Package" and "Hardened Edition" options.

So let's start with the PC gaming version first: the Digital Deluxe Edition costing $79.99 USD when the game goes live later this year. Here's what the package will contain:

* Call of Duty: Black Ops II
* Nuketown Zombies Bonus Map - Battle hordes of Zombies in this beloved 1960s nuclear neighborhood.
* Nuketown 2025 Bonus Map - Relive the close quarters chaos of this classic fan-favorite map re-imagined in a 1960s visionary depiction of the "model home of the future."
* Weapon Camo - Rank-up in style with an exclusive multiplayer weapon skin.
* (2) Player Card Backgrounds - Liven up any killcam with two exclusive player card backgrounds, inspired by Nuketown 2025 and Zombies.
* Official Call of Duty: Black Ops II Soundtrack - A digital copy of composer Jack Wall's epic in-game score with Theme by Trent Reznor.
* Call of Duty: World at War Game Download Token - A digital download of Treyarch's classic title, traversing WWII storylines from the Pacific to European theaters of war.

Not too shabby, but the next two bundles may leave PC gamers a little bitter at their console comrades. First up is the mega-huge $179.99 Care Package for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation which also tossed in a few platform exclusives too:

wow 80 bucks for two maps that should be in the regular version, a soundtrack, and backgrounds for the killcam... Not to mention the six DLC's at $15 a piece that activision will be pumping out. Sounds like quite the steal

You can't really blame Activision. As long as people are lining up around the block to purchase the next iteration of their game, why would they stop pumping out mediocre sequel after mediocre sequel?

PC Gamer recently released a list of the Top 100 games of all time... not one COD game was on that list.

I pre-order the digital deluxe version for pc. Will i get the game on dvd and download the rest, or is everything needed to be download via steam?

Digital deluxe is all through Steam. You do not get a boxed version, which is a plus, because you can't lose the CD Key.
