The worldwide plasma display panel (PDP) market is expected to grow by 27.6% from 12.19 million units in 2007 to 15.56 million units in 2008, and Matsushita Electric Industrial may maintain its top position by shipping 5.6 million units for a 36% market share, according to Displaybank. China-based COC (Changhong-Orion PDP-Chaihong) is set to enter the market at the end of 2008.
