I-O Data Announces SSDN-3V Series SSD

Today, I-O Data is rolling out the SSDN-3V lineup of consumer-oriented SSDs. The SSDs will have a SandForce 2281 controller aboard, whichoffers  up to 308 MB/s sequential read speeds and 185 MB/s write speeds. The drives also have a SATA3 interface, as well as a USB adapter for transferring all your data. To achieve this, I-O Data ships a license of Acronis True Image 2013 along with the drives.

The drives will be 7 mm thick and built using the 2.5-inch form factor. Luckily, they also come with a 7 mm to 9.5 mm adapter in case the 7 mm format doesn't fit properly in your system.

Scheduled for release at the end of May 2013, you're looking at three capacities: a 60 GB version, the SSDN-3V60; a 120 GB version, the SSDN-3V120; and a 240 GB version, the SSDN-3V240. At time of writing there was no word on pricing.
