Snooki Debuts 'Snooki Couture' iHip Tech Gear at CES 2013

By - Source: Tom's Hardware US

The reality show star can now add tech accessory designer to her resume.

Just when we think Snooki of "Jersey Shore" fame will disappear from the headlines now that her spin-off show "Snooki & Jwoww" is in hiatus, she is once again in the news -- this time to launch her line of fashionable tech accessories called Snooki Couture at CES.

Nicole Polizzi, Snooki's real name, partnered with iHip to bring her larger-than-life style to mobile accessories for women who want their tech gear to look as good as they do. Her line is anything but subtle with green rhinestone-covered handsets in the shape of a high heel, feathers on over-the-ear headphones, to zebra-print iPad covers.

It sounds obnoxiously over-the-top but she might be onto something here.

Let's face it: most headphones are not designed to complement a man in a suit, much less a woman in a cocktail dress who wants to listen to music without having to mess up her hair. The Snooki Couture headphones offer the type of fashion-forward headbands you'd find in women's clothing stores, plus they are interchangeable so the headphones will look appropriate in more occasions than just for going to the gym.

Unfortunately, the iHip team did not let attendees try out the headphones so we have no idea how they sound or feel, or any technical details for that matter. Considering that none of the Snooki Couture products will retail above $60 per the press release, don't expect these headphones to rival the Parrot Ziks. That said, we can't wait to give them a try when they hit stores and iHip.com some time this year.

... you give her a fraking headline. This is suppose to a tech site, not a fashion/pop site. A high-heel phone (or whatever) isn't tech-news worthy.

Please don't encourage her, via purchases of this junk, to keep spamming the world with her "celebrity" nonsense. Let her 15 minutes of fame end.

I admit.... The headphones look cute^^

    But the shoe?

Yeah, I was just telling my girlfriend the other day as I glared into my standard boring rectangle shaped galaxy II, that: Sweety, you know what would make my phone perfect? If I could wear it as a shoe when we go out, because my regular heels are just... plain. This would be excellent, that way when I sprain my ankles, I can quickly and easily call for help!"

Teary-eyed Indian watching garbage being tossed on the street has the same effect on me as this garbage being in technology.

Snookie and Coutoure are like whipped cream and shit. You really don't get something good if you put the two together and you shouldn't even try.

Someone, please tell me that no one cares about Snooki, the Kardashians, Honey Boo Boo, Survivor, Big Brother, etc. Someone, please tell me that I'm not the only person disgusted by this crap. Please tell me I'm not the only person on earth who still follows things more significant than this white trash, redneck garbage. Am I the only person left on earth with a brain and at least a little taste???
