Taiwan-based TFT LCD panel maker AU Optronics (AUO) expects global LCD TV demand to reach 108 million units in four years, and account for nearly 50% of overall TV demand, according to the company.
Worldwide LCD TV shipments are expected to grow to 17.14 million units this year, accounting for 9.7 percent of overall annual TVs output, iSuppli has predicted.
