MSI Z87 MPower MAX Motherboard Photographed
More details and pictures have been uncovered about the MSI Z87 MPower MAX motherboard.
The folks over at EgyptHardware have managed to get a hold of MSI's upcoming Z87 MPower MAX motherboard, and they presented all of us with a pictured unboxing of the motherboard.

The Z87 MPower MAX motherboard will feature an 8+12 Phase VRM design, as well as use MSI's Military Class IV feature set. Features include Hi-C Caps, Super Ferrite Chokes, Enhanced Dual-BIOS, and Digital PWM. The CPU is powered using two 8-pin EPS connectors. The motherboard also features MSI's Audio Boost chip, as well as a number of elaborate overclocking features.
Other features include three PCIe x16 3.0 slots, four PCIe x1 3.0 slots, and hidden between, an mSATA slot. The motherboard has four DIMM slots and a total of eight SATA3 ports. Cooling is handled by two heat sinks, both sporting a black and yellow design. The large U-shaped heat sink is referred to as an "M" cool design.

External connectivity will be handled by two USB 2.0 ports, a legacy PS/2 port, six USB 3.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, two HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, SPDIF TOSLINK audio out, and 7.1 analog audio out.
We can expect to see the Z87 MPower MAX motherboard hit the marketplace starting at Computex; there has been no word on pricing yet.

My thoughts exactly! It's like all the integration on the CPU side is forcing motherboard manufacturers to really push the envelope as far as feature integration is concerned.
